On Monday, the princesses of the Lily Princess Club were really excited. They were almost done designing their fancy lily dresses, and they couldn't wait to show them off.
"Wait until everyone sees our new dresses tomorrow," Hildegard gushed.
"It's too bad Sofia didn't want to be in the club," Vivian declared. "She loves flowers and designing gowns."
"She's probably thinking about how to apologize for criticizing us," Hildegard told her haughtily.
"I don't know—the princes seem to be keeping her busy," Zooey remarked.
The princesses turned and saw Adara, Jin, Jun, and Desmond with the Princely Adventure Club—and the princesses were completely unaware that Sofia was actually in the club now.
"Sofia looks awfully happy," Amber remarked. "Let's go and see what she's been up to."
The princesses went over to see Sofia.
"Hey, Amber, how are the lily gown designs coming along?" Sofia asked.
"They're great, Sofia," Amber replied. "What exactly are you doing?"
"We're showing the others the drawings we did on Saturday," Sofia replied. "We went to Phoenix Country and saw interesting elephant birds called Pelicants."
"One of them even did this," Hugo smirked. He showed a drawing of a Pelicant kissing Sofia's hand.
"Aw, how sweet," Adara gushed.
"I had no idea animals were so elegant," Desmond teased in an elegant tone.
Sofia blushed as everyone giggled. But the other princesses were confused—they didn't know why Sofia had accompanied the princes on their adventure.
"So I see you've accompanied the boys on their adventure," Kari remarked.
"Well, actually, Hugo invited me to join his Princely Adventure Club," Sofia smiled.
"WHAT?!" the princesses yelled. They were shocked to learn that a princess was in a club for princes.
"Prince Hugo invited you to join his club?" Hildegard cried.
"Well, you wouldn't let Sofia in your club, and you also implied that it was wrong of me to exclude my best friend from my own club," Hugo pointed out. "She's allowed to join the club because of her princely nature."
"Besides, we're best friends, and we missed being together," Sofia chimed in. "Everything is more fun when we do it together."
Vivian, Kari, Zooey, Lakshmi, Maya, Adara, Jin, Jun, and Desmond were happy for Sofia. Everyone was happy that Sofia and Hugo were back to doing everything together—everyone, except Amber, Hildegard, and Clio.
"Well, we'll leave you to it—we have to get back to our gown designs," Amber declared.
"You do that," Sofia waved.
Amber, Hildegard, Clio, Maya, Vivian, Kari, Zooey, and Lakshmi went to continue designing their lily gowns. Zooey, Vivian, Maya, Lakshmi, and Kari went right back to work—but Amber, Hildegard, and Clio were jealous that Sofia was the only princess who got to join Hugo's Princely Adventure Club.
"Can you believe it?" Amber pouted. "Prince Hugo invited Sofia to join his club—a club for princes only."
"It's not fair!" Hildegard whined. "We all like adventures, and only Sofia gets to be in his club."
"I guess I shouldn't have said that Sofia has a princely nature," Clio sighed.
"Well, Sofia and Hugo always do everything together," Vivian pointed out.
"And it's true that Sofia is very princely since she participates in rugged sports," Kari added.
Amber, Hildegard, and Clio were jealous of Sofia for joining the Princely Adventure Club, but they didn't think they should be envious.
"Well, we shouldn't let it bother us—Sofia will regret being in a princely club and not the Lily Princess Club when she sees our gowns and tiaras tomorrow," Amber smirked.
"Yeah, she'll be so sorry," Hildegard agreed.
