Chapter10

In the middle of the night I saw Jacob creeping towards the hatch I really wanted to scare him because he's already scared me twice and I need to get him back. I slowly place my feet on the carpet beside my bed and crawl towards Jacob once I'm about a meter behind him I jump on top of him toppling him over so he was now laying on the floor.

Jacob-what was that for you scared the shit out of me

Macie-I'm sorry Jacob you've already scared me twice so I thought I would  get you back

I said this between laughs gasping for breath luckily Jacob wasn't that pissed of at me and started laughing with me, but we both went silent when I heard ester knocking on my door whispering loudly

Ester-can you please be quiet I'm trying to have a tea party without waking mummy up do you want to join me?

Jacob-sure ester we would love to come to your tea party at 2:30 in the morning me and Macie can't sleep anyway

Jacob said this before I could stop him

Ester-whys Jacob still in there I thought he went home ages ago mummy's gonna be mad when she finds out that's you have a boy in your room but I will keep your secret if you don't tell mummy about my late night tea party's

Macie-sure I'll keep your secret

Jacob-we will be out in a minute

Ester-ok I'll go set up two more cups

Once we hear her close he bedroom door we start talking

Macie-one quick question why were you going back to your room

Jacob-I..I was going to the.....toilet

He looked really red in the face but it might have because the only lighting in my room was a small string of fairy lights.

Macie-you do realise I have a bathroom in my house too

Jacob-yeah but I didn't want to risk getting caught by your mum

Macie-I have a bathroom in my room

Jacob-Ik but in my house if I want to use my bathroom at night I can't because it makes really loud noise when you wash your hands so I use the one that is furthest away from my mums room

Macie-ok well I need to use the toilet too so let's go to the one downstairs

We both slowly tiptoed over to my bedroom door and unlocked it. Jacob went out first and looked around to see if my mum was still up but I didn't think she would be up anyway.

Jacob-ready to walk down the stairs

Macie-yup

We both take our time walking down the stairs but then it somehow turned into a race of who can get to the bottom first

Macie-I'm gonna win I said a bit too loudly

But as I turned around to talk to Jacob I slipped on the last 3 steps and hit my head hard on the floor

Jacob-Macie!!
