Chapter 4

A/N:      This is a dream chapter at the beginning XD

You were falling, into a great abyss of darkness that consumed everything in site so there was nothing except for the cold inky black. Seeming that this would go on forever, you close your eyes waiting for some kind impact which you figured would never come. Suddenly, you feel as though you're being set down on some kind of soft grass.

A slight breeze tickles your nose causing you to open your e/c orbs, only to see a cloudless blue sky ahead of you. Scanning around, you feel as though you've been here before. Everything seemed impossibly brightly colored and unreally real. You catch a glance at a little girl who looked just like you (when you were young) meandering through the brush just a ways away from you. Feeling as though you should follow your seemed to be younger self, you quickly got to your feet and rushed to the little girl. Giggling surrounds you along with a forest that you somehow didn't notice, you were about 2 or 3 trees away from her. Rounding a tree you couldn't help but notice that she had disappeared into thin air but yet the giggling stayed. Confused you look around only to spot endless amounts of trees.

Then everything flashed a very bright white causing you to shut your eyes from it's harsh rays. Once the red glow from under your eyelids went away, you sneaked a glance to make sure the white light was gone. It was gone so you binked a few times to get rid of the temporary blindness the light had given unwantedly. Gone, was the bright light and temporary blindness, in its place was a weathered hallway with only one fancy door at the end of it.

The door was red, with intricate designs carved into every inch of it, and a golden doorknob that clearly showcased a letter W on it. You inspect the door a little more but nothing seems wrong with it, it's just a fancy red door that has a W on the doorknob. Not wanting to stay in the old hallway anymore, you cautiously grab the cold metallic doorknob.Feeling the cool imprinted W under your palm, you twist the doorknob slowly. Creaking it open just a little, you look around the side of the door to check if it's safe to go through.

There where 2 people talking in the room, one was your dad and the other was a older guy who looked somewhat like Chess. Straining your ear, you listen to what they were talking about.
At first you heard your dad speak,"I can't thank you enough for helping save my daughter. Is there any favor or anything I can do to ever repay you for your help?"
Confused you think hard on when you've been hurt really bad when you were young but all that comes up was blank.
With a small smile the older guy that looked like Chess spoke smoothly,"There is one thing you could do for me....but you probably wouldn't like it."
Confused your dad shook his head exclaiming,"Anything you want I'll do or give you, after all you saved my only daughter's life"
With a small smirk barley visible under his smile the older guy cheerfully said,"The thing is that I would like your daughter promised to my son, Chessur. Not now though because they are too young but once your daughter becomes y/a (your age) my son will come to her and try to have her fall in love with him, if that doesn't work my son will forcefully take her to Wonderland."
Shocked your dad utters,"O..okay, your son, Chessur will be promised to my daughter, y/n."
Then child Chess runs into the room and hugs his dad's right leg, everything slowly disappears into the inky black abyss that you were falling in before. Staring into the abyss you blankly rethink about everything that Chess' dad and your dad said. Realizing what being promised to Chess means, your eyes widen as big as saucers and you start screaming in your head
'Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh.. I'm gonna have to marry Chess, but I barely know him!! Oh... but he's dad said that he's only here to make me fall in love with him... But I don't wanna fall in love yet, I just turned y/a and I wanna live my life without having to be promised to anyone even if he's kinda cute..... SNAP OUT OF IT, Y/N!!! You shouldn't be thinking he's even a little cute, you're mad at this not happy!!'

You continue to argue with yourself for a while then slowly the darkness fades and you  sleepily open your eyes. Feeling warm and comfy you close your eyes again and snuggle into the source of warmth around you. You feel the warm somehow move closer to you which causes you to pop open your eyes. You're staring at a black V-neck t-shirt, pulling away you glance up to see Chess' sleeping face.

Staring at his face, you can't help but think his face is really beautiful while he sleeps. With his long lashes casting shadows by his eyes and his porcelain like skin that somehow glows in the morning light and his dirty blonde hair that had a purple tint somehow looks more purple in the morning sunlight. He looks like a freshly made doll awaiting to be turned right side up so his eyes can awaken.

Being mesmerized by how beautiful Chess looks, you absentmindedly brush some of his hair out of is eyes and place your palm on his cheek. Stroking his cheek with your thumb, he leans into your hand and slowly starts to open his eyes. Groggily he smiles while mumbling,"Good morning" and pulls you closer to him. A small smile graces your face at how cute he was being. You try to get up but he just pulls you back down mumbling,"Mine" as he does so.

When he says that you think back to the dream you just had and start wondering if it was real or not, not wanting to lose your train of thought you ask Chess,"Chess, did you and I get promised to each other from our dads? Also, are you here to make me fall in love with you or else I'll be forced to go to Wonderland with you?"
He opens his eyes again and looks at you like a deer in headlights.

~~Sorry for the really super late update, I've been surprisingly busy for my summer break 😸😸
~~I hope you liked this chapter, I've been trying to think of which part I should keep going but it's hard for me to choose so I made a dream chapter sense all the parts went to sleep at the end of their part 😂
