My Average Life

Chapter one

When I moved to America I really didn't know what to expect. I have lived in England my whole life and moving house was strange enough, but moving to a completely different country was mind blowing! Me (Aaron), My mum Karen and little sister Katie had never even been over here for a holiday, but mum got transferred with her work so we had to move to Tennessee.

We have been here for a couple of weeks now and have started to find our feet, I am due to start high school next week and I'm freaking out about it, I don't know anyone I don't even know where the school is yet!! It's safe to say my life is officially over! Our new house is a nice size, slightly bigger than our old house in England, it's in a nice road with a lot of nice houses around us.

"Aaron dinner" mum called, just then had I realised that I hadn't eaten anything since breakfast and am now starving!

I jump off my bed and raced down the stairs, I ran into the dining room and took a seat along with my sister who was already seated, not long after, mum brought out a casserole that smelled delicious!

"So Aaron are you excited about your first day at school on Monday?" Mum asked, I gave her a are-you-kidding-me look and she laughed.

"Yeah I can't wait mother" I replayed sarcastically and gave her a eye-roll, while she was serving the casserole.

I ate it hungrily before placing my plate in the dish washer, I thanked my mum for the meal and headed back to my room.

I laid on my bed reading a book about vampires and werewolves (my obsession)! After finishing the chapter I was reading.

I climbed out of bed and had a quick shower. putting some PJ bottoms on I got in my bed and slowly feel asleep.

The weekend went by pretty quickly, I'm so bored here without my friends from back home!

I walked in to my younger sisters room, she was sitting on her bed talking to her teddy bear and dolls about starting her school. She's only 8 so she is going to primary/pre school.

"Hey lil sis what you up to?" I asked,

"HI AARON! I'm playing with some toys want to join me?" Katie asked in an overly excited tone, I walked over to her and took a seat next to her.

"So what are you talking to your toys about?" I ask not letting on that I already know,

"Just about going to a new school and meeting some new friends" she says with an excited look in her eyes.

"Thats cool!" I say smiling, before getting up to leave. She stops me abruptly before I get to the door

"Wait! Aren't you going to play dolls with me big brother?" She says in a cute little voice, but I shake my head 'no'

"I'm a bit old to be playing dolls Kate? Don't ya think?" I say with a chuckle,

"Nooo your only 17! You can still play!" She exclaimed

"naa I've got things to do, see ya later" I said while leaving the room, then headed to my room where I spend most of my time now.

Here it is first day of school and I'm not looking forward to it one bit!
So I roll out of my nice comfy, warm bed and headed straight for the shower,

After about 10 minutes or so I decided I'd better get out before I turn into a prune!

I rapped a towel around my waist and headed for my closet to pick out some clothes, I chose black skinny jean with a white polo top and white converse shoes.
