I pushed myself up and crawled over to Sam, hitting his cheek lightly to wake him. I push his messy hair out of his face and continue to shake him.

"Sam," I said, urgency evident in my voice when his eyes finally opened, shock still pressed onto his tired and bruised face. I looked from Sam to Cole and Dean's violent fight. Dean had just grabbed Cole's leg and slipped the gun out from the holster, walking away from him nonchalantly and emptying the bullets.

"What's happening?" Sam squints and tries to make out what was going on and I realized that I had to take this upon myself. I squeeze the handcuffs tightly in my hands, mustering up courage and I saw Dean and Cole beat each other mercilessly... or rather Dean beat Cole mercilessly. Cole was doing everything he could, but he really had no idea what he had just gotten himself tangled up in. I pushed myself up off the ground and Sam stared at me anxiously.

"What're you doing?" he asks me as I fiddle with the handcuffs. "Scar, whatever you plan on doing, stop." he warns me and struggles to get off the ground. I feel around my pockets and with shaky hands, pull out a flask of holy water and finally turn away from Sam and walk towards Cole and Dean. Dean had his back to me and had just thrown Cole against a van, pinning him there so he could pound into him before hauling the first blade out and pressing it against his neck.

"DO IT!" Cole screamed, his voice cracking. "You said if you saw me you would kill me so DO IT!" Dean contemplates it, I know he was actually considering killing but to my surprise, he lets go of Cole's shirt and allows him to slide down the side of the car, bloody and dejected.

"I guess I changed my mind," Dean responded simply and I knew he was about to turn around. I knew I had to act fast. I through my arm up and let the holy water fly out of the flask and drown Dean. It sizzled loudly like bacon in a frying pain and he yelled out in pain, his arms flying up over his head as he tried to shield himself. I swing my leg and allow it to hit the back of his knee causing him to buckle over and land on both knees. I grab his arm and slap the cuff onto his wrist, closing it quickly when he regains his composure and swings his arm up and his fingers close around my neck. I choke, his eyes turn black and he stands, raising me into the air. He groans, his teeth gritting against one another I thought he was going to kill me... in fact, I'm sure he was. His grip continued to get tighter and tighter and I'm sure another couple of seconds and my windpipe would have been crushed. That's when Sam acted. He put Dean in a choke hold which gave me the chance to swing the other cuff onto his free arm.

"Stop! It's over!" Sam yelled at him and he finally stopped fighting, but continued to growl at us and grit his teeth.

In a surprising (and amazing) turn of events, Cole had driven the impala to intercept me and Sam confronting Dean, so we got the car back along with all of our clothes and weapons. As Sam led Dean into the impala and shut the door, getting ready to get in the drivers seat and drive away, I grabbed his arm, stopping him. His expecting gaze led me to confess.

"Sam," I started. "I wasn't completely honest about what happened when Crowley showed up." Sam's face hardened as he stared down on me, his eyes angry.

"What didn't you tell me?"

"Crowley wanted something when we found Dean." I said. "The first blade." He closed his eyes for a moment and took a deep breath. "And I wasn't really in the place to say no after he had told me when Dean was."

"I knew there was something that he wanted," he snapped, shaking his head.

"Sam, I didn't just blindly agree. I thought about it," I insisted and he stared at me. "isn't it better in his hands then in ours?" he thought for a moment while I continued. "The further away from Dean, the better."

"Yeah I guess that's true," Sam says after a moment. "why didn't you tell me?" he wonders. I shrug.

"I don't know, I didn't even think we'd get this far." I reply, looking at Dean in the back seat of the impala, staring angrily back at me.

"Me neither," Sam's anger fades and he heaves a sigh. "I guess-"

"Hello moose, Scarlett," a voice rings from behind me, cutting Sam short. "I held up my end of the bargain, now it's time you hold up yours." I turn and see him standing promptly behind me like he had been there to whole time even though I knew for a fact that he wasn't. I immediately back up so far I bang into Sam's chest and he takes me and pushes me behind him as he unveils the First Blade. "Relax Scarlett, I'm here strictly doing business." he tells me and looks up to Sam, giving a fake and sinister smile. "Pleasure," he says and puts his hand out.

"What are you going to do with it?" Sam asked him, holding the blade tightly to his side with no intention of handing it over to Crowley.

"Toss it into a volcano, leave it on the moon, maybe the bottom of Marianas Trench? I'll get creative." he assures Sam and we both exchange a look of uncertainty. "Believe me. I don't want Dean getting his hands on the precious any more than you do." I look briefly into the impala and see Dean studying the situation, his head cocked to the side and green eyes scrutinizing Crowley, then Sam and then me. "Your brother knows I ratted, he tends to hold a grudge. I don't want to get... boned." he smirked. Sam stares down at the blade, thinking again for a moment before reluctantly handing it over.

"This doesn't make us square." he says. "If I see you again--"

"Oh stop it Samantha," he says smiling. "no one likes a tease." Sam gives him a look that reflected deep annoyance and quickly wrapped his arm around me, leading me away and to the drivers side of the impala.

"Let's go," he tells me as he opens the door. I climb across the drivers seat and plop myself down into the passenger seat, unease filling my lungs like water. He plops himself down and starts the car. I look into the rear view mirror and catch Dean staring ahead at Crowley with a look so murderous, you could swear he was trying to slaughter him using just his mind. He looked so determined that part of me feared he actually might.

During the long drive back to the bunker, nobody said anything until Sam muttered something under his breath about Cole making the car filthy.

"It's just a car, Sam." Dean said. It sounded like Dean, and he looked like Dean but by God those words spilling from his lips gave me 100% certainty there was no way in heaven (or hell or purgatory) that it was Dean Winchester. I glanced at Sam who was shaking his head.

"It's just a car. Wow." he scoffs. "You really have gone dark."

"You have no idea." he smiles and my stomach twists. I stay quiet, clenching my hands together and making myself very small.

"You know what Dean? I saw what happened back there," Sam said. "you could have killed that guy and you didn't." Dean smiled and concealed a laugh. "You took mercy on him."

"You call that mercy?" he smiles a toothy grin but it didn't make me feel any more comfortable then sitting in a cage with a demon... which I guess I sort of was. "Imagine you spend your whole life hunting down the guy that knifed your father." he pauses. "And when you finally find him, he whips you like a dog." he laughs. "How do you think that feels?" Sam and I squirm in our seats, trying not to let our fear show through. "That kid's gonna spend his whole life knowing he had his shot and that he couldn't beat me." Sam's hands tightened around the wheel as I chewed my lip. "That ain't mercy. That's the worst thing I could have done to him." he says finally.

I thought about meeting Dean again after he was killed by Metatron. I dreamt about him and all the things I wanted to say to him. I wanted to thank him. I wanted to tell him about how happy he made me and how he was the best person I had ever met. The most kind, selfless person and the best big brother Sam and I could ask for. He took me in under his wing when my dad died without a second thought and despite being moody and hateful and angry, he never treated me with anything less then respect. I never thanked him for that. For any of it. But now, he's alive. And I can thank him, but I can't find a single thing to say to him. I'm too afraid too... because it's not Dean in the back seat talking to Sam and I... it's a wolf in sheep's wool.

"And what I'm going to do to Scar, and what you're going to watch me do to her," he says slyly and turns to look out the window. "well that ain't going to be mercy either."
