"It makes sense after everything that's happened," Castiel says and I nod while watching him walk in a painfully slow and burdened manor to the bookshelf, scanning for something promising.

"I suppose, I just hope they forgive each other after everything comes out."

"Well they won't agree on everything, and it'd be unhealthy if they did. Sam and Dean both have similar values and hold their morals close to heart, but they do have their differences." he speaks slowly, taking a book off the shelf and making his way back to the table. "But at the end of the day, they're brothers. No difference in belief will change that."

As he finished, the bunker door opened and voices were carried through empty space. They weren't completely happy voices, but they were content. It was that content that depleted the tension in the room and allowed me to shift into a relaxed position as they walked down the stairs.

"Hey boys," I say as Dean steps off the last step, Sam's footsteps following him.

"Hey Scar," Dean said while Sam gave my hand a gentle squeeze as he walked by me.

"Everything okay?" I asked and received a gentle smile from both of them as they look from each other to me.

"Yeah, I think so."

I ended up with Sam in our bedroom a short while later. He readied himself for bed in the washroom while I lounges atop the covers of our bed and stared at the ceiling. Being a hunter, you never really get used to this. The calm after the storm. The quiet wind down after a war. The sound of a loved one doing something so humanly simple as brushing their teeth or even, silence. While a blessing to some, it's anxiety inducing to others as they try to anticipate the next attack. You never really get used to being 'safe' which I could surely say I was at this point. Safe in the amiable capture of the bunker.

"Scar," Sam stood at the foot of the bed. I raised stiffly and looked at him. "Thank you, for tonight,"

"Of course," I respond quickly. "It wasn't anything really I just figured you guys needed the time, to chat... work things through, which I assume they have been."

"They have," he assured me and slipped out of shirt and slid into bed. After a moment, Sam whispered, something, so quiet I barely caught him. "I'm so glad he's back." I smiled happily.

"Me too."

He untangled me from my sling shortly after and we slept together in a hunter's paradise, pleasant and soft. The only thing surrounding us was the warm glow from the lamp across the room and tender breaths.

I felt the water come up around my knees and I stared blankly ahead, the waves crashing over one another like they were racing to get to shore. I was alone, but I didn't feel alone. I walked out further, a few steps at a time, breathing deeply and calmly all the while as if I were in a quiet meditation. Floating, levitating almost, but still going deeper into the water. I stared down at the blue surrounding my thighs and could see small fish, swimming past. Green, orange, gold and brilliant red, all in tiny schools.

I felt the sun next, while moving up to my hips in the beautiful blue, the heat weighed softly on my shoulders. I felt an odd freedom without my sling, and my whole body felt as peak condition. I was naked, but beautiful and healthy. I was glowing. The sun warmed my entire body. A bird chirped overhead and I looked up to watch it cross in front of the golden orb in the sky. I looked down and felt the water come up past my waist and meet my belly button while I walked deeper. I couldn't see my feet anymore as the light blue turned deep and ominous and soon turned black as the sun disappeared. I looked up and the warmth that once blanketed was now a bitter cold, shocking my body.
