"Oh yeah, porn guy was an animal, bro came at him like what!" he swung his fist and Sam and I flinched. "And he was all like waaaa," and the brown haired, enthusiastic cashier continued to swing his fist down, beating the crap out of the imaginary person. I looked around and other customers were watching, uneasily. Sam stared at the cashier as he became a professional wrestler. "Say my name! Say my name!" and then he whispered with intensity, continuing to beat up on his imaginary opponent, "Say, my, name!"
Sam and I exchanged a look and I licked my lips staring at this cashier who broke character and stared over into the area of where it happened, reminiscing.
"And there was a lot of blood," he added. Sam and I gave him a moment, in case he wanted to pin his nemesis.
"Right," Sam said shortly, staring down at the cashier. "Uhm..." he didn't really know where to pick up.
"Did the guy, say anything?" I wondered. He looked up at Sam who cleared his throat and made two quote marks.
"She means, 'porn guy'," Sam said, the cashier nodded. "when he came in did he say anything?" The guy stared at us both and then shrugged up his shoulders.
"Where's the porn?"
"That's all he said?" Sam questioned the cashier who nodded. "Did he buy anything? Did he use a credit card?" The cashier didn't respond. "Nothing?" Sam asked incredulously. "So some guy comes in, kills another guy in your store and your watching and you just, you what? You just keep on keeping on?"
"You mean when porn guy was stabbing the other guy to death 10 feet in front of me and I was having a total code brown moment in my favourite pair of freaking pants because I thought I was next," he goes from hysterical to completely serious. "did I conduct a field interview?" Sam and I stayed quiet while he shook his head in our direction. "No."
Sam and I exchanged a look as he looked down, discouraged at his phone. I nudged him and motioned towards the door, trying to turn things around although I knew we were both in for a mental break down after coming to yet another, dead end.
"Oh hey, could you do me a solid?" the cashier asked us as we were on our way out the door. We turn back and he reached under the counter, hauling out a cell phone. "I found this under the teepee, I think it's the dead guys phone and you're both heading back to the station so," I reached out and took it from him.
"Alright, thanks for your," I paused. "help."
We walked out of the store and Sam started filling the car up with gas while I parked myself on the hood, flipping through the phone. I opened the messages and looked at the first one.
Winchester. Amherst Junction, Wl Gas n' Sip. B/W 11a-12p
Long live Abaddon."Oh," I said gravely and Sam looked up, finishing up his business and coming over to me. I showed him the text and as soon as he had finished reading, I could smell desperation pouring off him like sweat. He took it from my hand and pressed the call button, holding it up anxiously to his ear. I immediately started tracking the call.
"Nope." he said to the person on the other line, proud. "Just using a dead mans phone." He nodded and licked his lips, flashing me a look. "My brother is dead Crowley," my brows raised, showing my surprise. Sam wasn't surprised. He just kept getting angrier.
"I know you have some demon parading around in his meat suit and trust me, you are going to pay for that." He paused, listening to what Crowley was saying. "And the Abaddon supporters you've been sending to kill my brother? How does Dean feel about that double cross?" he waited for a second and then continued. "I don't know how you did this, what kind of black magic stunt you've pulled, but hear me; I will save my brother or die trying." I watched, as Sam started to pace and chewed my nails. "He's not your pet." I heard him say lowly. "I'm going to find you, I'm going to save my brother and then I'm going to kill you again."
