Hello, I'm Marie. I just turned 13 a few days ago and I discovered my new special talent. Singing and acting! I think I want to start theater! I have my very first audition tomorrow! It's for one of my favorite musicals, Shrek (its the Jr. Edition)!
"Are you practicing?" mom screams from downstairs.
"I will in a minute" I yell back as I grab my phone to play my back up track. I'm auditioning with the song My Favorite Things, from The Sound of Music. I've been practicing for over a month now and I'm so ready! I play the track and start singing. I'm so ready for this. I get in my pajamas and go to sleep, I have to get up early to get ready. I'm hoping for Fiona but since this is my first audition I don't know how it will go. I get to sleep and run through my song in my head.
I'm the morning I wake up and put on my favorite dress and put my hair up into a bun so it will be out of my way. I get into the car with my mom and we drive to the theater. My audition time is 9:45am buy I want to get there early so I'm positive I won't miss it. I'm starting to get nervous but it doesn't show, I'm good at that! We arrive 15 minutes early and so I run over my song a few more times then walk into the theater.
I walk into the audition room and say hello to the director and the other lady in the room. They tell me to sing my piece and I do then they tell me I did a great job and told me that the call backs would be held on Monday night and if I get a call back I'll know by tonight. I said thanks then went out to go home and hope I get a callback!
