Super Smash Bros.: A New Generation

Chapter 2: Klein the Swordsman

             "Hey, does anybody know where I can participate in brawls? Hello? Somebody? Anybody?" but Mason was ignored. "Are you people really all that busy that you can't help a smash brother out?" but still, everyone else went on about their own business. "Grrrr... What good is it to be here if I can't even compete?!" Mason yelled.

              "Compete?" said an unfamiliar voice. "Hey, I'll take you on."

               "Wha....? Really?" Mason said turning to see a red-headed man weariing a red sweater and black pants and shoes. He also wore a black headband acroshsis forehead. "That's awesome. The funny thing is, I don't exactly know how."

              "WHAT?! How can you be here and not know how to go into competition? It was in the tutorial."

               "What's with you people and tutorials. I never look at tutorials. I can't be a top player if I'm looking at a stupid tutorial!" Mason yelled, breathing heavily.

              "I see. Okay, watch and learn pal. The man said, doing a small movement with his fingers. Up popped a menu. He tapped a few buttons and suddenly a message saying "invite" popped up in front of Mason. Mason tapped it and it opened up saying "Brawl with Klein? Yes/No". Mason tapped "Yes" and accepted the invite. A character select screen popped up  before each of them and they made their selections. "I'll let you chose the destination. It's only fair since it was your idea in the first place." Klein said.

                 "Gotta stay with the classics. Final Destination!" Mason stated. "See you in the arena." He said as they teleported away. During their transfer to the battlefeild, they each experience a change in their bodies. They became digital wire-frames. They then morphed into the shape of their chosen characters. Finally, digital particles began to cover their bodies and reveal their faces, now changed into their chosen characters.

                Mason opened his red eyes as the blue glow in them faded away. He raised his arms in the air and clenched his fists. He then swung them down as he radiated a massive amount of aura. Mason had become Lucario, the blazing aura pokemon. But as for Klein, he had become Ike, except for this form representing more of Klein himself. He weilded the large golden sword and charged the fire energy coming from it. 

            "Bring it on!" Mason said. Klein just grinned.

   Immediately they rushed at each other. Mason saw Klein's first move coming and rolled behind him. He then grabbed Klein's clothes with one hand. With the other,charging it with aura, he thrusted it into Klein's stomach, sending him a few feet back.

                'Whoa, I can't believe I'm actually Lucario. I can feel the power he posseses. It's amazing!' Mason thought.

                  'Man, this is intense. Battle here is different than SAO. I don't have a health gauge, but there's this percentage meter that goes up each time I take damage. What's going on here?' Klein thought, confused. He rushed in for another attack, but Mason jumped over him this time. Klein was prepared and swung his heavy blade above him, slamming it at his side. Mason was sent soaring into the sky, but also had a plan. He aimed at Klein and charged aura in his hands and created a large sphere of dark blue energy.

            "Aura Sphere let's go!" Mason yelled, firing the sphere towards Klein. 

            "That can't be good." Klein took the aura sphere to the face. But it wasn't over yet. Somehow, Klein was glowing with a magical rainbow colored energy. 

           "No way! How did you get the Smash Ball?!" Mason said, surprised.

             "Time to finish this!" Klein said, slamming him upward with his sword. "Great Aether!!!!!" Klein yelled. He flew up and met him in the air, unleashing a massive combonation of punches, kicks, and of course sword slashes. He stopped, leaving Mason spinning in the air. Finally, with a mighty swing, he slammed the blade down onto Mason's head, plummeting back to the ground, creating a huge explosion. Mason was sent flying into the air.

              "Looks like it's over dude." Klein said, putting away his sword. But he was unaware of his opponent's intentions. Though Mason took on so much damage, his power had increased. He was way high in the sky charging  another aura sphere, however this one was much larger than the last one. 

            "It's not over till the Jigglypuff sings! Take this!" Mason yelled, releasing the aura sphere directly in front of Klein's face. Klein's body was imprinted into the ground. 

             Suddenly, the Smash Ball appeared again. With one aura sphere shot, Mason broke it and executed his final smash. "This will end it! See what aura can really do!" Mason yelled, flying into the air and unleashing a devestating beam of aura energy. 

            "Crap, I'm gonna lose!!!" Klein said, taking the damage and soaring out of bounds and disintegrating in a bright flash of light.

             "Game over pal, I win.
