I smelled fresh coffee and men giggling at Trump jokes. Monday at the office. I walked in, and as usual all eyes were on me. I'm not conceited, I'm just pretty sure in myself and what I do. I'm not an idiot. I'm among the hottest girls on the staff. But nothing beats seeing "Sloane Fontaine, Writer" on the credits every Saturday night. Not too many girls get to come here and play in the big leagues at Saturday Night Live.

"Good morning, Sloane." Lorne smiled and waved at me on his way to his office. The fact that my office is a few doors down from the Lorne Michaels' is a dream come true. "Are you ready for today's meeting in 10 minutes?"

"More than ready!" I smiled.

"Alright, Sloane. Bring all your ideas, this episode's gonna be a fun one!" He jetted in his office and I jetted in mine. I was not ready. I forgot who the host was already. Who goes out and takes shots on a Sunday night?? Me.

I grabbed the season show layout that's taped to my door. This week.. This week.. Got it!

Jimmy Fallon: Host | Justin Timberlake: Musical Guest

How they hell can Jimmy Fallon host and do his own show at the same time? I rolled my eyes and sipped my coffee before taking a breath. "You will kick ass this week." I said to myself.

Alright, time to grab my notepad and grab a seat in Lorne's office before it gets crowded and I have to stand in the doorway again. I walked into the office and a few of the cast members and writers were gathering in. Jimmy Fallon was sitting in front of Lorne's desk, and there was a seat next to him. I took it.

"Jimmy! Have you met Sloane?" Lorne immediately blurted.

"No," Jimmy began to analyze me. "I haven't, hi how are you?" We shook hands.

"I'm great, and yourself?" I pretend to like this small talk.

"Pretty good. You a writer?" He asked.

"One of our best!" Lorne cut in. "She wrote that bit about Donald Trump and the nude beach."

Jimmy began chuckling. "That was you?"

I nodded and smirked. "I got a lot of texts that day from friends who bet each other that that was my joke."

"That was one of the funniest jokes this season." He smiled. "You're talented."

"Thank you." I flipped my hair to the left side and sighed.

I felt Fallon's eyes on me throughout the whole meeting. Every time I spoke it was like heaven for him, he could find an excuse to look at me, I bet. I could never give in to the whole Fallon craze. Maybe that's because I actually haven't watched his show, really.

Once the meeting was over and I jotted down all the skits we had to write up for the week, it was back to my office to go through them and e-mail back and forth with writers until our meeting later.

"Hey, Sloane?" Jimmy said as we walked out of Lorne's office. "You wanna grab lunch with me whenever you aren't busy? Today maybe?"

"Not today." I frowned. "Tomorrow maybe at 11?"

He smiled. "Sounds good. What are you about to do?"

"Write. That is my job." I chuckled.

He chuckled, but before he could talk, Pete Davidson brushed by him and hugged me immediately.

"I missed you last night, baby." He kissed my cheek.

"Yes, that's highly unlike you to miss a Sunday at the bar with us." I smiled before realizing Jimmy was still in front of me. "What are you about to do, Jimmy?"

"Oh, meet with my team downstairs. This building's so big!" Jimmy spoke softly. "Hi Pete, how've you been?"

"I've been amazing, buddy. I haven't seen you in a while, we should hang out."

"Yeah," Jimmy smiled. "I've been busy. Listen, I'll see you guys later. Gotta go."

I smiled at his awkwardness.

I sat in the meeting room and was the first one there. That new writer up at SNL was pretty cute. Miles walked in and squinted his eyes.

"Why are you so early?" He sat down.

"I was upstairs in Lorne's office."

"Oh yeah, you excited to host again?" He asked.

"Yeah, I think it's gonna be awesome. JT and me again, they know they can't have anyone else with me!" I chuckled. "By the way.. What do you know about Sloane Fontaine?"

"The new writer girl upstairs, right?" Miles looked up from his laptop at me. "All I've heard was that she's extremely hard to get, but hot."

"I caught wind of all of that." I laughed. "I think she's dating Pete Davidson."

"She isn't dating him. She isn't one for commitment. They've been hooking up on and off for a while." Miles said.

"They seem pretty close." I combated.

"Pete's been trying to commit but she won't. So he'd stop talking to her, but come back eventually for obvious reasons."

I nodded and took all the information in.

"You aren't thinking about taking a shot at her, are you?" Miles chuckled.

"It's just glazing my mind. Not a huge thought."

"Well good luck! I think Sloane Fontaine isn't the way to go two years after a rough divorce."

I shrugged. "I see something in her. I don't know, I just kept looking at her and saw so much."

"What'd you see? How she looked in a bikini? Most guys see that too when they look at her."

"Come on," I laughed. "No, I see something. Don't know what it is."
