"Sloane." Pete was sitting in my office waiting for me Tuesday morning, and he looked pretty pissed.

"Hi Pete." I walked to my desk and sat in the chair. "Is there something you need?"

He squinted at me and stood up. "You're gonna sit there and pretend like that text you sent me was non-existent right? Like what we had wasn't something real."

"Pete..." I sipped my coffee before continuing my response. "Why do we have to talk about this at 9:30am?"

"This is as good a time as any." Pete's face was turning red. I had never seen him angry.

"Listen, I'm sorry if I hurt you in any way, I'm really not trying to do that. I'm trying to help you here."

"How is this helping?" He began pacing the room and knocked over a chair. "I would have killed for you! You were my girl no matter what! I don't know what's gotten into you."

"Honestly, I didn't think you'd want to be so committed to me." I ran my fingers through my hair and tried to stay calm. Pete kept pacing and making noises only frustrated people make. "I'm almost 30, you have your whole 20s to look forward to. Just accept us as friends Pete."

"No." He shook his head. "Not until you tell me why you just broke up with me out of the blue."

"First of all, I do it all the time." I rose from my chair and walked over to him. "Secondly, I don't do commitment. Maybe that's something I should have been upfront about, but you of all people made it very clear in the beginning that we wouldn't be more than just sex and the occasional bar hopping. We agreed to friends with benefits. I'm not sure when you started catching feelings, but I just went with it because the Pete I used to know didn't care about feelings. I figured you'd quit chasing me once you realized I wasn't going to be caught. I'm not a commitment girl. I'm the most anti couple person ever."

Pete looked at me with tears in his eyes. I felt a little bad, but he did this to himself.

"Sorry." I spoke softly.

"I can't believe you.." Pete looked me dead in my face. "I'm sorry too. That I fell in love with a bitch."

He walked out of my office and slammed the door. At least my part of the scripts are done.

"Alright, seems like a great show tonight!" I told the team. "We'll meet in 6B in three hours for mono rehearsal. I gotta go up to SNL to help write out sketches."

"Okay, Jim." Miles nodded and everyone dispersed from the room.

"Yo, Jimmy, how's it going upstairs?" Miles stopped me in the hall.

"Pretty good." I told him. "It's only day two, so.."

"Still thinkin' about that Sloane girl?"

"We were in the bar together yesterday."

"No kidding..." Miles chuckled. "What was she doing in Gramercy?"

"I don't know. That's is a hike for her to be making from Rockefeller for a drink, when there's tons of bars around. I don't know."

"Well, good luck with that."
I nodded. "I just think she's got something. She's pretty cool, we got to talking."

"Really, you and Sloane Fontaine?" Miles chuckled.

"You make her out to be some kind of evil witch or something."

"Well," Miles cleared his throat. "She kinda is."

"I don't believe that for a second, she's seemingly sweet."
"Yeah, seemingly."

"I gotta go." I brushed it off.
