Chapter twelve: only them

Nashis POV
We walked in search for Lushi as our old men followed, acting like they didn't care for our safety but I know they do.

"So, why did you call her Lushi?" dad asked as he tried to start a conversation with us.

"We didn't, you did" I stated as we walked into the lifeless guild, the entire guild drunk under the table, literally.

"Why?" Gray asked now interested in the conversation.

"Because you thought mum was dead, Happy said that you could name her to try to cheer you up but... all you could say was Lucy. Happy knew she was alive so he suggested Lushi instead, which you were happy to hear" I said as I acted normal, walking around with my hands resting on the back of my head.

"Oh" was all dad said as his bangs covered his face.

"But that hasn't happened yet, it might not even happen at all" Silver said as he looked back at Natsu with a worried expression, his gaze turned into a glare when he met my eyes.

"Doesn't it have to happen, you know, for you guys to exist and all?" Gray asked causing us to stop in out tracks.

"I never thought of that" I whispered as I looked to the ground, thoughts of not even existing entered my mind.

Silvers POV
I looked over to Nashi who's usual happy ora had turned sad.

"Nice one dad" I said hitting his arm as I made my way over to her.

"Hey we'll be fine, there's no way our mums would let us down" I said as I through an arm over her shoulder, pulling her in. Almost immediately she blush, causing Natsu to push us apart and lift her up onto his shoulders.

"Come on, you'll have a better view from up here" he said as he carried her around on his shoulders. Dad walked over to me and placed me on his shoulders, only to turn to Natsu with a smirk.

"Sliver can see much better then your pipsqueak" he said, catching both fire dragon slayers attention.

"What did you say ice breath?" They both asked as they glared in our direction.

"What did you call me" Dad and I said acting on instinct alone as our dads smashed their heads together, Nashi and I doing the same.

"You wanna fight?!" Nashi asked causing all four of us to smirk.

"Your on" the three of us replied as we started to attack each other. Nashi and I jumped from our dads shoulders and started the attack, both elements of fire and ice went flying everywhere, hitting nearby guild members.

"Oi! Stop that now" I heard Mira say with a happy tone causing both Nashi and I to immediately stop.

"We heard rumours of her smile, it can kill" I said looking at her as we both shivered. Our dads stopped fighting moments later, whipping blood from their mouths.

"Which ever team finds that kitten first wins!" Natsu exclaimed grabbing Nashi and dragging her out of the guild.

"Your on!" Dad yelled as he grabbed me and ran. 

Grays POV
Damn, now I'm stuck with this kid looking for a cat I thought as I glanced down at the smaller version of me.

"You can stop staring" he said causing me to quickly avert my eyes. With a sigh he stopped looking straight ahead and turned to me.

"I don't know why mum believed you would come find her, you seem so... Out of it" he said as he watched my every movement, like he was trying to understand why.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Mum used to tell me stories of a man, someone she loved with all her heart even though he never returned her feelings. There were many times he would protect her and help her but he never cared for her. Even though she knew this she still loves him, knowing that only his happiness mattered" he said sighing and turning away.

"That's Juvias fault, not mine" I said bored as we continued to walk.

"You don't get it, do you old man?" He asked as he kicked a rock with his foot.

"Get what?" I asked as I looked over to him, confused about the question.

"She-" he began but was cut off by a familiar voice.

"Silver! Gray-Sama! Where have you been?!"
