"Excuse me" the man she was talking To , give her a nod and she turned on her back to walk towards the washroom. In her way many similar faces greeted her and smiled at her, even asked her how was she doing? She replied each and everyone of them with best smile she can. Behind each smile she hid her pain, loneliness and sorrow. If only they knew what was going on inside her.
If only they knew how broken her smile was.
If only they knew.
Her knees felt weak with each step she took. Her eyes become blurry. She walked fast before she breaks down in front of people. She entre the washroom, took a relief breath to find it empty but she still checked all the stalls just in case anyone was still inside.
She wanted to spend some time alone.
She wants some time to recollect herself.
She looked herself into the mirror and straightens her posture. The lady in front of her wore an elegant black gown with her hair tight up in high ponytail.
People often told her how confident she is and appreciated for helping her father with family business. The refection in front of her tells her completely opposite things what she was feeling inside. It seem like she don't have any problems to worry about. She had everything she asked for. She was perfect.
Her life was perfect.
If only mirror could tell the reality but it only reflect the outer-front side and no one knows what's going on inside.
The other reason she tied her ponytail up was he loved her hair open.
Tear escape from her eyes.
Only she knew how much makeup she had been applied to hide her dark circle under the eyes because of sleepless night. She wipes the tear and opens her handbag to fix her makeup before anyone misses her presence in the hall. She quickly fixed her makeup and look into the mirror for the last time before she walk out with releasing deep breathe.
"What do you women actually do inside for so long." The voice made her jumped.
She looked around to see who it was. Her eyes landed on Dave, her partner in business or more to specify her future husband. Yes she was getting married to the man in front of her with in few weeks.
Well the party was kept as a pre-celebration of their wedding.
"Oh my god, Dave. You scared me," she said to him.
He took a step forward before she could do anything, he lean in to kiss her.
'She could never compare his kisses with Dave. His kiss made her feel different. Where as Dave kisses were plain and simple. He kissed her with all his passion, gentleness, softy and specially because it made her feel special. Where as Dave...' before she could think further Dave broke the kiss and asked, "what is the matter love?" she looked at him and said, "I am just little tired."
She paused and thought 'she had to leave this party as soon as possible. The air was suffocating her.'
"Will you please take me back home, Dave?" She pleads to him.
"Why? This party is kept by your father to cheer you up before wedding." He holds her hand. "Are you nervous about the wedding? Listen it's good to be nervous. Everything will be okay in the end. I promise that to you." He said.
