I'm walking down to the bus circle when a girl named Natalie came up to me, smirking. "How are you and Kylar doing?" She asks. I look at her and smirk.
"We're good. He seems tired today, though." I reply.
"I noticed that. Is he doing okay?" Sarah asks.
"Yeah, he's fine. Just stressed, most likely." I answer.
"Have you two kissed yet?" Savannah asks, eyes bright. I roll my eyes at her as the other two girls laugh.
I look behind me when I hear someone call out my name, and I see my older brother Connor running up, machine gun in one hand and his other hand flailing about. Connor isn't related to me at all, he's my brother figure. I do have a little sister named Hannah, but she's not coming with us to Union Mine. I laugh as Connor comes up and throws his free arm around my shoulders.
I feel an arm slide around my waist, and I turn my head to see Kylar looking back at me with a goofy grin. We arrive to the bus circle and there are two buses ready to go. Evan, one of my friends we rescued last week along with Devon, Emi-chan, Jessica, and a few others, is driving one bus. Connor goes down to the other bus and gets in, sitting on the driver's seat. I turn to look at Kylar.
"I guess he's driving. I'm going to ride in his bus. You coming?" I ask. Kylar thinks about it for a few seconds before nodding, smirking at me.
"Yeah, I'll come with. Someone has to keep an eye on the wild Lyn." He jokes, and I look at him with my best crazy, insane person face and laugh like a maniac.
Behind us, I hear someone say, "Release the wild Lyn!" I look back to see Sarah's boyfriend Robert pointing at me. Kylar and I laugh as we get on the bus. I sit behind Connor, Kylar sitting next to me with his gun in hand. A few of our friends, including Jade, Jasper, Jacob, and Rocsh, get onto our bus while everyone else gets on Evan's bus. We take off down the road and past our barrier, which was moved aside for our convoy, and onto the freeway, heading towards Union Mine.
