The daycare opened at eight sharp. My mommy dropped me off right when it opened, but I'm used to her leaving me like this. My name is Danny and I'm four. I was sitting by the legos when this boy named Donald broke up all of my buildings.
"You can't play with those." said Donald.
"But why not? They're everyone's to play with." I replied. Donald said nothing and took all of the legos away from me. I went and sat with some boys named Mikey, Johnny, Chris and Rand. No one was messing with them. They just sat there making macaroni pictures and Chris was eating the glue stick. He was a chubby kid though, maybe he doesn't have food at home.
Miss Lucy had us all come and sit in a group for story time at ten. I was sitting between this girl named Carly who earlier had gotten angry for not being able to play with Barbie and GI Joe because Donald took them both away from her. Donald seems to be a bully. Then I was sitting by this boy named Teddy. Earlier he kept hitting his head against the wall because Miss Lucy took his lollipop that was covered in hairs and dirt from the sandbox. I think he might become dumb, but my mom said that if I don't have anything nice to say then I shouldn't say it out loud so, I won't.
We went outside to play and there was this boy named Ben who was half asleep in the sandbox, but I didn't think nothing of it. He was talking to a kid named Jeb and another named Ricky. They were talking about who was the coolest out of all of them. I heard Jeb call Ricky a doodoo head. I walked over to the swing and a boy named Marco looked at me with a shy smile. I had seen him a few times, but we never talked.
"Hi, I'm Danny! Wanna play airplanes with me?" I said to him. He looked up and shook his head yes. We started to play when Donald walked over and spoke to us, "Why are you dummies playing airplanes? How about we play White Castle?"
"How do you play?" asked Teddy who walked over to us. Ben and Jeb came to play too, I think.
"Well, the play house can be the castle and we can't let anyone who isn't what I want inside. If they get in and we think they could hurt us then they go inside the sandbox. It'll be fun!"
We were about to play, but Miss Lucy called us back inside. We ran in because we knew one thing was coming. Lunch.
We sat at our tables and started to eat our ham and cheese sandwiches and drink our apple juice. Once we were done eating we were told we could go play before we could watch a movie. I was sitting at a table with Marco. I was drawing a picture for my mom to put on the fridge. Donald came over and started to scribble a picture too. Marco spoke to him, "What are you drawing?"
"It's a picture of how I'm going to make this wall to keep everyone I hate out. Ill use the small loan my dad said he will give me to make it. Do you like it?" We just looked away. Carly walked over and looked at Donalds drawing.
"Your drawing isn't good." said Carly. Ben and Teddy both walked over to look.
"Uh, I think it looks good, Donald." said Ben.
"Carly, I think you're ugly. Now let the boys play." said Donald. Then he made this weird turtle face while Carly walked off crying.
Miss Lucy brought us all together, got us a snack and juice and told us we could watch Aladdin before pick up time. Aladdin starts to play and Donald jumps up and yells, "MUSLIMS. BOMB THEM ALL."Ben jumps up and yells softly, "Yeah!" That's when Miss Lucy took Donald and Ben to the time out chair.
The movie ended and our moms came to get us. My mom was the last to come.I ran to her showing my picture and she smiled down at me.
"Hey, sweetie. How about we go to Mickey D's for dinner?" I shook my head yes and we got in the car. "Mom, do I have to go back tomorrow? All of the kids there are weird. Except some are just dumb."
She looked back in the mirror and spoke, "Well, honey, for now you do. Besides it's not like they'll be president or run the country in some way."
