Part 10: Together... again?

~*~Chris' p.o.v~*~

"NO." I insisted sharply, I wouldn't stand for this. I couldn't put them through all this again.

"I'm sorry if you got your hopes up but you need to get your pretty little head around this. Matt, Muse is done and over. If you're 'that' desperate, find a new bass player and a new back up vocalist. I am done." I explained yet it was clear that Bellamy wouldn't give up... he never did. I only had to glance to Dom and see his face to tell he was with Matt on this, he always was. Their 'bromance' was unbreakable and they always sided with one and other. Perhaps they would move on; as much as it would pain me to see them sing our songs but with somebody else playing my part, I knew it was what they longed to do, to perform again.

As soon as we'd sat down opposite Chris, it'd been apparent that he didn't want to see me there. He'd been okay towards Dom from what I'd heard yet the hate towards me was so visible. Chris had hardly changed yet at the same time, was unrecognisable. Dom and I looked on hopefully, trying our best to persuade him but twenty minutes later he repeated a harsh 'NO.'. He proceeded to talk about performing or whatever to me but my mind was elsewhere already.

"Chris.... please?" Dom whispered from beside me. I looked across to meet his eyes which were glazed and full to need. These two words rendered Chris silent, his dark coloured eyes lowering for a few seconds.

"I'll think about it..." He this whispered. I couldn't restrain a slight smile at the hope and chance of being a band again.
