My Gangster Love

Prologue

We’re here in a narrow street. A peaceful street, they said. But for us, this place isn’t the most peaceful street. Cuz’ this place is where we are running, running for our lives in specific. This place is very dangerous, in any minute,our life will be in danger. And now, someone is chasing us and wanted to kill us. We don’t know who are they, but one thing I’m sure, it is none other than our rivals – Red Hunter’s Gang.

Yes! I’m a gangster – we are a gangster. My Younger Twin is also a gangster. We may look innocent but we’re really a gangster.

Do you think being a gangster is easy? No-uh. Your life is always in danger, you can’t have a peaceful life. You always fight and some people detested us, gangsters. They think that all gangster are killers! But no, that’s not true. We try our best to avoid killing someone. But if our lives is in danger, we can kill. Yes, we can. Some rules in the Gangster World is you can kill people who’s also a gangster, but you can’t kill people who’s innocent.

All our Family Members is also a Gangster. We sometimes think about quitting, but we can’t. I can’t imagine that our family is fighting the Red Hunter’s Gang, while us, just watching waiting someone to kill us and our family.

“I think we have no choice but to face and fight them.” I said to my twin before I stop running.

“Okay.” My twin sister answered. “But can we fight them? They have guns and swords.” She asked me.

“Yes, we can fight them without using any equipment. Remember, we’re the most powerful gangster.”I answered.

She just nodded to me, and we began to face them but we were shock when we see them. There’s a lot of them. We didn’t expect that this would be too much. 

“Eotteoke?” my twin blurted out. (What should we do?)

“NO MATTER WHAT HAPPEN, WE NEED TO FIGHT THEM.”  I said while raising the tone of my voice.

“A-ara!” she said. (Fine/Okay!)

 

We look to each other eyes then said, “HWAITING!”

 

We started to fight them.

This is OUR LIFE, or should I say OUR GANGSTER LIFE?

We ease the pain to maintain our ranking and our power.

When we are the middle in fighting I saw my co-gangster is helping us.

After we fought, we immediately went to a private hospital. My twin sister got injured after fighting the guys whose chasing us. The Doctor said it will take 3 days until she can go out. She need to rest. When my twin and I are talking, someone open the door and it is our older brother.

“Oppa, what are you doing here?” I asked him.

 

“I came to see if the both of you are okay.” He answer me while checking our sister, who’s now lying in a hospital bed.

 

“The doctor said she needs to rest for three days before she can go out.” I said in a low tone.

 

“Are you okay, Natalie?” My sincerely asked while now checking me.

“Aniyo.” I said while looking I look down. Not trying to look at him eyes-to-eyes. (No)

 

“Wae?” He curiously asked. (Why?)

“Oppa, we’re tired of being this. We always need to the ease pain. We always envy the normal teenagers outside. Their life is very peaceful. Unlike us, our life is always in danger. Oppa, we’re really tired…. Very tired.” I said, still not looking at him.

 

“I understand you Natalie, but don’t tell me you will be quitting. Nicole and you, Natalie, are needed on our gang.”

 

“I didn’t say that I will quit on the gang. We just need a rest… we want to have a peaceful life even if it’s only a short time. We just wanted to experience being a normal teenagers. Please Oppa…” I said, while tears a flowing on my cheeks.

 

“Aigoo. Arasso, I’ll arrange your flight. Just go to the Philippines to rest for a little bit. But still, be careful. We don’t know what will happen there. Don’t be so sure that you will be safe.”

 

“I know. I will try my best to protect Nicole and myself. Gomawo, oppa.” I said then I hug him. He hug back. (Thank you)

 

 

Author: But there’s something bothering Natalie.  Did she made a good decision or not? Can they really have a peaceful life? Can they experience what normal teenagers do?
