I pursed my lips together tightly; walking down the halls of my high school. I knew Smackle would have told someone by now, most likely Farkle. I kept imagining what my parents facial expressions and reactions would look if they found out Maya and I pranked Smackle.

Ugh, let's not think about that now.

I grabbed my notebook and clutched it in my grip. All I heard were footsteps and people talking, until I saw Isadora Smackle walk into the corridors, giving my a filthy glare.

I awkwardly sat down on the bench in the hallway waiting for Smackle's discovery of the yogurt balloons; I know 'that's so childish' but she did make Farkle cheat. Even if it wasn't intentional.

Every bone in my body was fighting the urge to do the 'right thing' and run over and tell Smackle not to open her locker.

But of course, I didn't.

I glared over at Smackle to see her looking a wreck; her hair was messed up, and she looked as if her makeup was put on with a crayon.

Smackle's fingers slowly intertwined with the lock on her locker. I saw as she placed the combination in. The lock made a click sound as it unlocked; she slowly and cautiously opened her locker.

Ten pounds of yogurt balloons fell right smack on Smackle's forehead.

I saw Maya at the other end of the hall, laughing and videoing the whole thing on her phone.

I couldn't help but giggle a little, even though I really didn't want to draw suspicions. I inhaled trying to hold the laughter inside me.

"RILEY! MAYA!" Smackle roared angrily.

"What on earth is going on here?!" I heard my dad's voice ask. Everyone stopped laughing and swung there heads around.

My heart vigorously beat in my chest, I started sweating as I turned my head around to see my dad standing there; his hands on his hips and his face, distraught.

Oh shit, she's gonna tell.

"I'll tell you what's going on!" Smackle exclaimed in anger, "little miss 'perfect Mathews' over here and the blonde bitch decided to break into my house last night and prank me. Also they decided it was a 'good' idea to put yogurt balloons in my locker!"

"Riley, Maya, is this true?" My dad asked, knitting his eyebrows in disappointment.

"I can't deny the accusations, daddy." I replied, prominently.

"My class, now!" My dad exclaimed; I could tell by the tone he used, and the expression painted on his face he was extremely disappointed.

"So that's why we pranked Smackle." Maya finished, with a blank expression on her face.

"The only reason you girls did this to Smackle is because she kissed Farkle purposely?" My dad asked, tilting his head to the side in confusion.

"Yeah; now you get it, Mathews." Maya said, lifting an eyebrow.

"No w-what on earth were you thinking?" My dad replied, furrowing his eyebrows in disappointment, "you girls know better, I have no choice, but give you detention."

"Okay." I mumbled under my breath, slumping down in my seat.

"Starting now!" My father exclaimed, pursing his lips together, before walking out of the room and closing the door.

"Ugh, can't believe Mathews gave us detention!" Maya commented, crossing her arms over her chest.

The door then crept open, and Lucas's face popped through.

"Maya, why are you in detention?" Lucas asked, curiously.

"Ask Mathews." Maya replied, creasing her brows.

Lucas then looked at Maya for a more revealing answer.

"Maya-" Lucas trailed off.

"Okay, fine. We kinda pranked Smackle-" Maya then trailed off, before Lucas cut her off.

"Wait, yogurt balloons was you?" Lucas asked, pointing his finger at us.

We nodded our heads and our cheeks turned a shade of bright pink, in embarrassment.

"Want me to get you guys out?" Lucas asked, a smirk appearing on his face.

"Really, you'd do that for me, babe?"

"Maya, no! My dad is already mad enough, you can go but I'm going to stay." I shouted, in annoyance.

"Okay, okay, I'll be right back." Maya said as she got up, and then turned around and added, "I'll be right back."

"Okay." I replied, as they walked out of the room, cautiously.

I sat there in complete and utter silence. All I could think about was Farkle.

I looked down at the blank desk, until I heard the door creek open. I quickly swung my head up to see Farkle standing in the doorway.
