The next day, I walked into the halls of my High school. I had a smoothie in hand, and walked around twirling a strand of my hair through my fingers.

I was about to walk to the science room, Farkle was most likely there.

F A R K L E

I walked into the science room when I saw Smackle walking behind me, I knew she was gonna stir up some trouble, because of the break up.

"Hello Farkle." She said in a flirtatious voice. 

"What do you want Smackle?" I said abruptly turning away from her. I felt the presence of her, her glare she was giving me. I didn't have to look to see Isadora Smackle's famous glare, she gave you when she was angry.

"Can't a girl go to the science room?!" She snapped.

"Yes, but I know unless you were trying to do something bad, you wouldn't be in the same room as me." I said turning sharply towards her.

"Such a shame, you know you said you loved me." Smackle said moving closer towards me I felt myself shift in my chair trying to get away from her.

"Smackle we had something, but it's over! I love Riley!" I said trying not to sound to harsh.

"Look at me Farkle!" Smackle demanded as I felt her face, inches away from the side of mine.

I turned around. "Wha..." I said before she cut me off by pressing her lips against mine.

R I L E Y

I opened the door to see...that rat, Isadora Smackle with her lips on my man! I dropped my smoothie in shock! I heard the smoothie splatter everywhere. Tears began to fill my eyes.

"RILEY!" I heard Farkle exclaim as he pushed Smackle aside, and ran over to me.

"Don't!" I said with my hand to his face before walking over to Smackle and grabbing her by the collar of her shirt.

"You'll never be me Riley." Smackle snarled as I still had her in my grip.

"Good, I wouldn't want to be a discussing, boyfriend stealing rat anyways." I snapped.

"He kissed back." Smackle snarled.

"I have every right to beat you up right here, right now!" I yelled. As much as I wanted to punch the bitch, I couldn't, but I had to!

I took a big gulp, and clenched my fist then swung it, full speed right smack on Smackle's face.

Smackle fell to the ground started yelling at me.

"What the fuck Mathews?! You're so gonna pay for this!" Smackle said as she taped the cut on her head, and she carefully got up and walked out of the room.

"Riley..." Farkle said before I cut him off, he saw my eyes glassy and tears starting to form in my eyes.

"Don't! You kissed back!"

"I didn't, I promise, she grabbed me and kissed me, I'm so sorry!"

"I don't know, how could I believe you? I saw the kiss Farkle!" I said storming out of the room.

"RILEY WAIT!" Farkle called after me, but it was too late, I was gone.

I felt like everything was a lie. I saw Maya and Lucas, they were cuddling in the halls, until Maya got up to see my hurt face.

"Riley, are you okay?" Maya asked coming up to me.

"No, just go to class, I just...just need to be alone." I stuttered to spit the words out.

"Riley, I'm not leaving you!" Maya said looking sincere.

"Well I am!" I said as I walked away.

"Riley! I'm not leaving you." Maya said in a serious tone.

"Maya, we can talk by the Bay Window later, for now I need some space, and if you wanna know what's wrong ask Isadora Smackle and Farkle Minkus." I said my feet clenching the ground below. Tears filling my eyes.

Maya just stood there nodding, she always understood me. "What do I tell your dad?"

"Tell him I didn't feel well and I went home!" I said walking out of the school.

(Outside of the school)
I walked down the street, the words "he kissed back" kept replaying in my head. Did Farkle love me?

I heard my phone ring, so I pulled it out of my bag and it was a text message, from my dad.

CoreyMathews: Riley, hope you feel better! See you at home!

RileyMathews: thanks!

I kept walking down the familiar street, in this familiar place. I slid fingers through my hair, thinking of why would Farkle do this?
