You wake up with the sun lighting up the room, and ice pack on your bed had melted. You sit up and slowly get out of bed taking off the wet sheets. You walk down stairs to put them back in the wash when your mum stops you .
"hi darling sorry I wasn't home last night me and your dad went out but came back in the morning " she says looking at you doing the washing. "Did you wet the bed?" .

You laugh and shake your head "I had an ice pack and it melted"

She takes the sheets from your hand and puts them in the wash" God knows what's on your bed , so why did you have it " .

You want to lie to her but maybe she should know that your boyfriend hurt you ," I banged my arm on the table " , or not .

She looks suspicious "can I see?" , she lifts up the sleeve and look at it "hmmm that's strange i didn't realise tables hand hands?" , she crosses her arms "what happened Alex" .

How are you supposed to lie now "ok but it was an accident, me and James where arguing and I tried to walk away but he grabbed my arm a bit too tight" , of course it was on purpose but your mum can't know that .

"ok but make sure he apologises , love you", she kisses you on the cheek and feeds the dog , " I know you didn't see us last night that much but me and your dad are going to a friends house , would you like to come or are you okay here ?" .

" mum seriously I'm 20 in 2weeks I'll be fine on my own I might go out with some friends " , you say secretly excited cause you know she's not going to be home till the morning . So that means PARTY! .

"ok I don't want any party's though only 5 people at the maximum over" she explains .

You pull out your phone and start texting people to come tonight for the party "of course mum I would never do that, what time are you leaving?" .

She picks up the dog "about 4pm, I need to start getting ready actually it's 1:30, you need to start getting up earlier "she says walking up the stairs .

When she's in her room you go in your contacts and ring Abigail . " my mum and dad are going out tonight and they won't be back till tomorrow, you know what that means " .

She screams the through the phone " P-A-R-T-Y!" .

You laugh at her she always gets hyped over party's ." Yep haha you get the food and ring Ashton to get alcohol and red cups" .

" ok I will and um what about James ... Ashton told me "  she says softly .

You sigh " I'll call him and talk to him and then I don't know " there's a pause " ok ignore that you do your jobs ok!" , you say very excited then end the call , it's been a while since you had a party. When you think about it for a bit you call James ........" Hi" , you say very cautious .

" hey babe sorry for yesterday for being a dick It was just a bad day " he says as if nothing happened .

" is there anything else you wanna say , maybe that girl who's face you where chewing " you calmly say .

You can hear him breath down the phone " um ....look I'm really sorry it's just the things we were saying i was pretty pissed off and I kinda thought that you had already kissed Ashton , so I kissed her " he explains quickly .

" James I would never do that don't ever have doubts like that listen I accept your apology but if you pull anything like that were done ", you say .

" ok , I love you " , why does he never say this when we are out  together .

" I'm having a party tonight you coming ?" You whisper making sure your mum or dad doesn't hear .

" Ye course " he whispers back , " listen I Gotta go now but text me when it starts " he ends the call .

It's now 6 pm and your mum and dad have left . Abigail , Ashton , Calum , Michael , Luke and your other friend Hannah are here already .  The party starts in 30 mins .you and Ashton are in the kitchen sorting out snacks

" so are you cool with James now " Ashton asks ,

You grab a pack of crisps and open them " yes , thank you by the way for last night I'm glad you told me " , you grab a crisp and eat it .

" Ye well I'm your best friend aren't I , and stop eating the crisps or we'll have none left " he grabs the bag and eats some .

" hey " you laugh and take them off him ," go and pour me a drink greedy" .

" Alex, come here " , he says opening his arms out .

"why?" , you ask , he just waits though , "fine" you walk up to him and hug him he says something to you.

"if you ever need me Alex I'm always here okay I will always be your best friend no matter what happens " , he says seriously .

"ok Ashton don't get all serious on me now this is meant to be a party , but thank you" , you say smiling .

After a while of setting up the party starts and everyone soon starts piling in, then you see James. " hey babe" , you walk over too him .

"hey, guys this is my girlfriend Alex" , he says putting his arm around your waist .

"hey, she's the side chick huh " one guy says laughing .

You look at James confused " babe what is he talking about?" .

"don't worry it's just this joke we had a long time ago we say about each others girlfriends" he says laughing .

"ok well I'm gonna go get a drink", you take his arm of you and walk to the fridge , what a strange joke to make up. You open the fridge and there's hardly any drinks left, you grab a bottle of vodka and pour a glass. " take it easy there", Ashton puts his hand on your back .

"hey buddy you had enough to drink yet" , you say laughing he is clearly wasted .

He stumbles " I love you Alex " .

" I know Ashton " you say holding him up .

He pushes back. "no, I really love you like I want to be with you and kiss you".

Woah did he just say that , no he's drunk, "ok Ashton I think you need to sit down, cmon I'll sit with you " , you pick up your glass and walk to the sofa .

Ashton leans in for a kiss but you quickly push away "Ashton stop" , he tried again but this time holding you so you can't move . " no Ashton get off!" , he moves out the way .  you stand up and walk to your room .

You check your phone and it says 2am . There's no one in the house any more, but when you go to turn on your side you hear a clutter down stairs . You sit up and walk down stairs maybe it's just the dog , you turn around to see a very drunk Ashton sat on the floor with a bottle next to him .

"ALEX! " , he shouts pointing at you ,"your still here?" , he asks .

"Ashton this is my house cmon get up I'll take you to the couch". You pick him up off the floor and carry him over, he collapses on to it and starts closing his eyes. " night Ashton" , you kiss his cheek and put a blanket over him before going back to bed .
