Jan's POV continues:
He's away from his true love. He from her because of the letters and threats. I have a strange feeling about the author.
"Prince Leonardo excuse him self very quickly after dessert. He left the palace in a rush I wonder why?" I asked myself.
I collected the dessert dishes and walk into the kitchen. I pulling my cellphone from my pocket. And answered it.
"Hello....." I answered the cell phone.
"Yes Jan......." Jessie replied.
"That was intense....." I say.
"Yes it was......." Jessie agreed.
"I guess you were right?" I hesitated to agree. I have to give into the bet, but when?
"Yes! I was! and you sir owe me...." Jessie sang happily.
"I know......" I groaned in defeat. It may not look like it but I am shy.
"So you have to ask Laney out on a date...." She said with a chuckle.
"Yes I will......." I say lowly.
"Hold on a second got another call......" Jessie says in surprised.
"Sure......." I I reply.
Short time skip on hold
"Sorry, I'm back....." Jessie answers quietly.
"Is everything okay?......." I asked her with concern.
"Yes, Jan that was Laney. Hmm, she said Prince Leonardo is in the flower shop looking for me." She says with hesitation.
"That's strange. He was just here..." I said.
"I know....." She answered.
"That's curious......." I whispered.
"I wouldn't think nothing of it, but He's being very persistent....." She said, but I instantly wanted to take it back.
"Really?" She asked.
"Y Yes!" I stuttered.
"Why?" She questioned.
"I haven't a clue." I retorted.
"You need to be careful....." I stress.
"I will, but this is so strange tho...." She said in compliance.
"Are you sure you are alright?" I asked.
"Prince Leonardo scares me...." She blurted out to me.
"Do you think you should meet with him?" I questioned her.
"No! But I am running a business. However since Joshua and I broke off our engagement he's been trying to court me......." She confessed.
"Really? How long?" I asked her.
"About seven months now. But I keep turning him down nicely. But he is try to insinuate his self in me life." She sobs.
"Why? Would he. You were with Prince Joshua then, he still asked you out?" I replied in a questioned.
"Yes, he wanted me to leave Joshua for him, but I refuse too. The last time he got really angry. And I got scared." She admitted to me.
"Okay! You! Need! To! Be! Careful!" I say strongly.
"I definitely will......" She replies.
"Good!" I say relieved.
"Oh, I told Laney you will be calling her tomorrow to discuss something personal with her." She chuckles.
"You what?" I shouted.
"You loss and........" She said.
"But!" I said.
"Listen Jan, do you like her?" She questioned me.
"..........Yes, Yes I do......." I sighed out.
"Than what is the problem?" She asked.
"There isn't one....." I replied.
"Okay then! So, when you and her have little babies. You'll name one after me hahaha.." She giggled out.
"Good night Ms. Jessica." I say.
"Good night Jan." She hangs up the call.
Prince Leonardo POV continues:
I then walk into the flowers shop. I look in the glass door to see if I see Jessica. I'm Looking around at the different varieties of flowers and plants. Making sure not to over look her pretty face.
"I wonder where Jessica is?" I say to myself.
I turned around quickly and I met with the assistant manager of the shop.
"Excuse me is Jessica around?" I asked slightly..
She turns around and her eyes open wide. "Oh it's Prince Leonardo, she she's not here so." She Bows her head in respect.
I asked her is Miss Jessica around but she say no. What can I do. I thought to my self.
"Can you tell me your name please?" I asked.
"Oh my god, my name is Laney....." She screeched.
"Well, Ms. Laney, can you contact her, because I want to discuss an important order with her." I say smiling sweetly.
"Yes, oh of course I will. I'll see if I can go call her. In the meantime. Please look around and see what we can do for you?" She said as she run to call Jessie.
She goes to make a phone call. She's gone
She come back, and said she'll be down in a few minutes.
