Wheeljack sat nervously outside the little room that Agent Fowler had taken the spunky human girl into. Ratchet had fixed his dent and they had been in there for over an hour, Wheeljack was getting restless. Bulkhead came over, "Hey Jackie, whats got your screws wound so tight? Worried about the human?"

Wheeljack snorted, "Nah, she can handle herself. Was doing pretty good on her own against those Cons when I found her-"

And soon he was off, retelling the grand adventure of how he had seen her superb driving skills against the high speed chase, how he had saved her when she got cornered by the Cons, and how she and hung backwards out his window, not two feet above the asphalt while they were going over 100 miles per hour to shoot out the Cons's tires (which she did) with nothing but the seatbelt to hold her from falling out.

Wheeljack was a superb storyteller, so even Optimus and Ratchet took a break from their work to listen. Jack, Miko, and Raf were open mouthed, Arcee looked almost proud, and Bulkhead was beaming, "Wow, Jackie, she sounds just like you. Armed, dangerous, and a bit of a daredevil!"

"Thank you."

The answer had not come from Wheeljack, but from the girl in question. She stood just outside the door with Agent Fowler, who was wearing a mix between a relieved and distraught expression. "Prime." He said.

Optimus came over, "What is it Agent Fowler?"

"As much as I'd hate to do this, Prime, this young girl has to stay with you all." Fowler said.

"What for?" Ratchet complained.

"She was activly being persued by the Cons and," Angent Fowler explained, "Her home was attacked and her only living family kidnapped, possibly killed. I will take on as her legal guardian until her father can be found, but it would be safer for her if she remain in this base at all times."

"Why would the Cons attack her house?" Bulkhead asked.

"We don't yet-" Agent Fowler started.

"Its because of this." The girl said, pulling something from around her neck. It looked like some kind of chip the size of a floppy disk.

{Did I just date myself. I'm only 18! Anyone else remember floppy disks?}

"It looks like some kind of key chip." Jack said. The girl nodded. "It was my great grandfather's. It came falling down from the sky like a meteorite... nearly took his ear off. Dad said it was alien tech."

Ratchet peered at it, "Well it certainly is Cybertronian."

"Then it is settled. We shall protect this girl and the chip she holds from falling into Decepticon hands." Optimus stated.

"Who's going to be her guardian?" Arcee asked.

The group was silent.

"I'll do it." Everyone turned to Wheeljack in surprise.

"What," he said, "I found her."

"I have no objections." The girl said.

"I do." Ratchet intervened, "Wheeljack is reckless!"

"Well aren't you a bucket of sunshine." The girl deadpanned.

Wheeljack grinned as Ratchet fummed. "I recall my earlier statement." The medic said, stalking back to his station, "She's exactly like Wheeljack!"

Wheeljack smirked down at his new 'partner'. "Never did catch your name, kid." He said. She grinned back at him, one side of her mouth turning up before the other in a lopsided smile. "Thessaly." She stated, "The names Thessaly Drew." She gave a mock salute, causing Wheeljack to snort. He had a feeling he would like this spitfire fleshy.
