I'm Here For You (Kanato x Sick! Reader)

"Ugh why must I go through this..." (Name) complains to herself as she blows her nose into a tissue for what felt like the millionth time today. She was currently in her bed and going through the misery of having a cold. She originally had tried to make herself go to school to get that out of the way, but she was forced to stay home since the Sakamaki brothers said and she quoted "We can't have our food getting everyone sick."

The girl rolled her eyes at that earlier memory and continues to blow her nose into her tissue. When she was done blowing her nose, she cringed when she saw what was on the issue. It definitely wasn't a pretty sight to see.

She threw the tissue into the trash can that was placed near her bed that was pretty much filled with tissues from earlier uses. She lies back down on her bed, pulling her covers to her body to stay warm. 'At least I can some peace to myself....' She thinks to herself, glad that she has some excuse to not have to have to do anything.

'Well this peace won't last for long though.' She grunts when she thinks that thought, knowing that it's true. Yeah most of the vampires wouldn't really associate themselves with her, but that doesn't stop a certain purple-haired Kanato from talking to her. Kanato treats her alright, but boy he sure was the most fussy when he found out she was sick.

He was the first to blurt out that she needed to stay home and even said he was going to take care of her. Reiji of course stepped in and told the younger vampire that wasn't necessary since the cold was only temporary, so he shouldn't make a big deal about it. Kanato was going to protest, but he stopped, knowing that Reiji wasn't going to let him skip school to take care of (Name).

(Name) groans about how annoying that memory was and sniffs from her cold. She then again gets another tissue, blowing her nose and tosses the tissue into the trash can. "Hmm I'm starting to get good at this routine..." She mutters to herself as she plops down on her bed and starts to fall asleep.

*Scene skip brought to you by Ayato eating takoyaki like a boss XD*

There was a knock at the door which made (Name) snap awake to the sudden noise that started her. "Who is it?" She said with a groggy voice due to the torment of having a cold.

"Teddy and I would like to come in. We have your medicine for you." Kanato says from the other side of the door.

The girl groans when she heard Kanato said he had the medicine for her cold. That medicine wasn't appetizing at all, but she knew she couldn't avoid it. Kanato would probably even force her take the medicine if necessary.

"The door is unlocked, so come on in." She says in response to Kanato, not looking forward to tasting the gross medicine.

Kanato then entered into her room and closed the door behind him. He walks on over to (Name)'s bed and chuckles as he sees her not looking so well at the moment.

"Wow I didn't know humans looked this bad when they got sick, ne Teddy?" He says to Teddy, chuckling a little bit of how funny he finds it.

"Well I'm not suppose to look pretty right now. I'm sick." (Name) mumbled to herself, a little annoyed at what the purple-haired vampire had said.

"Did you say something (Name)?" He asks her, cocking his eyebrow in confusion since he didn't hear what she mumbled to herself.

"Um n-nothing!" She says frantically  with her arms up defensively. She was already sick, but she didn't want to have to deal with an angry Kanato when she wasn't in the position to defend herself.

Kanato pushes off his curiosity and sits down on her bed, holding out the cup with the medicine in it. "Here take it. It smells disgusting, but Reiji said it works." He explains to her as he is still holding out it for her to take.

'Lets get this over with...' She thinks to herself as she leans forward, reaching to take the cup from him. Well she was until Kanato took the cup away from her reach which makes her sigh in annoyance.

"Is there something wrong Kanato because I really need to take that so I'm not contagious." She said to him and then coughed a little, really just wanting to get this over with so she can relax.

"There's nothing wrong. I just want to try something that might make you feel better." He says back in response to her as he looks down at the cup. The sick girl was starting to get annoyed that he didn't give her the medicine already. She was about to tell him to hurry up, but she wasn't able to finish her sentence. The reason she wasn't able to finish her sentence was because a pair of lips were connected with hers. Kanato's lips to be exact.

(Name) not only flushed from her fever, but also how flustered she was from Kanato's sudden actions. What made her flushing worse was the fact that Kanato had put the liquid medicine inside his mouth and made the liquid go into her mouth while he was kissing her. This was something she wasn't expecting at all.

Kanato then pulled away from the now flustered girl and chuckles about how cute she looks to him right now. "(Name) should feel better after that, ne Teddy?" He says to Teddy with a gentle smile which just makes (Name)go even more red.

"W-why did you do that Kanato?" She stutters out shyly, very confused on why he did that.

"Because Teddy said that it should make you feel better and Laito also recommend me to do that." He replies back to her.

'Of course Laito would recommend that, but Teddy? Really?' She thinks to herself. She also makes a mental note to confront Laito about this, but she'll do that later since she's too tired.

"Well thank you for doing that, but you didn't have to...." She says to him, looking down at the ground so he doesn't see how embarrassed she is.

Kanato looks over at her and smiles softly at the girl. He puts Teddy down on the foot of her bed and crawls on over to her. He then kisses her cheek very softly and looks her in the eyes. "I did it because not only was it recommended to me, but I also wanted to make you feel better. Just remember that I'm here for you and I'll even do that again as long as you need."

(Name) was honestly kind of shocked to see how sweet and sincere he was being. She didn't know it was that big of a deal for him which surprised her even more. As if her body moved on it's own, she wraps her arms around Kanato and pulled him into a hug.

"I didn't know it was that big of a deal, but I really appreciate what you said. Once I get better I'll start doing the same sweet things that you do for me. I'm here for you too." (Name) whispers to him in his ear with a small smile on his face.

Kanato was caught off guard by her sudden actions and words, but hugs her back, enjoying being very close to her. "Thank you (Name)."

"You're welcome- ACHOO!" The girl was about to say "you're welcome", but her nose decided that now was a good time to make her sneeze. "Um Kanato could you get me a tissue?...."

"Teddy and I will get you more tissues right away." Kanato says to her as he grabs Teddy and runs out the door to go get the sick girl a box of tissues.

Kanato then continued to take care of (Name) and she actually did recover faster when she was being taken care of. Then later after she recovered Kanato started not to feel so good afterwards and (Name) had kept her promise to take care of him. Basically in a nutshell they will always be there for each other!~

Author's Note: That was probably one of the most fluffier things I've ever seen about Kanato. O.O But anyways I do apologize if Kanato is ooc (out of character), but it's still pretty cute. XD
