Chapter Three
Secrets and Threats
Everyone was starring at us as we walked, in the position Kyle explained to us earlier, to class.
“Can this get any worse?” I mumbled. I had spoken to soon. Amber and her group, Avery and Nataley, walked up to the guys.
“Hey guys,” Amber said smiling, “Why don’t you leave these losers and come hang with us?” She asked seductively.
“Sorry Amber. Those losers, as you called them, happen to be my sister and very close friends of ours. Plus we don’t date slutty cheerleaders,” Kyle said looking annoyed and pissed.
“Oh,” she said sounding surprised at his reaction, “Well then why don’t you all come hang out with us?” she asked smiling again.
“Sorry, we’re busy.” Kyle replied.
“Doing what?” she asked placing her hand on him arm.
“None of your business.” Kyle said motioning us to go around. We left a stunned group of girls behind us as my girls and I laughed.
“God, they’re so desperate they continued talking to them even when Kyle obviously called them all sluts.” Nicole smiled.
“I know it’s so pathetic.” Kylie said.
“Guys you really don’t have to walk me all the way to my class.” I said as the bell rang, “I’ve got Nicole in my first and second hour, then I’ve got Kylie for third, all three of them for fourth and Starr for fifth, even though she’s not here right now.”
“Who do you have sixth?” Kyle asked.
“Mr. Rogers for science.”
“Bobby and I have Mrs. Montgomery right next door sixth.” Drake said, “We’ll get her then meet you at the cars after school.”
“That works,” Kyle said, “I’ll meet you all at lunch,” he said as we all split up.
“Thank god it’s Friday.” I said to Nicole as we walked to first hour.
********
The day went by quickly, faster than usual for a Friday. At lunch we talked about how Nicole and Kylie’s dinners went after I told them how I had walked into the kitchen half naked.
“It was so horrible. They made me wear girly clothes to impress their boss; I think he was their boss.” Nicole said.
“That sounds horrible.” I said laughing.
“You have no idea really. So anyway how was your date Kylie?” Nicole asked.
“Horrible. Absolutely horrible. He kept flirting with the waitress the whole time. I broke up with him and walked out before we finished the appetizers.” She said, “He tried calling me all last night and texting me this morning during school.”
“Want us to beat him up?” I asked, “Or I can have the guys do it?”
“No, its fine. I can just make him jealous or something.”
We had all laughed knowing she would. I was walking out of class to meet Drake and Bobby when someone grabbed my arm. I looked up to see Amber.
“Bitch, let go of me.” I growled.
“Listen here you little slut,” she said gripping my arm tighter. Oh hell no she did not just say that! “I want you to tell your brother Kyle to ask me to the dance next Friday.”
