Scott and Stiles sat in Coach's class, waiting impatiently for the bell to ring, the hospital incident had happened 2 days ago, but the they were still shaken by what had happened.

Stiles poked Scott in the back to get his attention.

"Stiles, I have to talk to Luke."

"Dude I am your best friend, you're seriously gonna leave me, alone"

"You have Malia".

"Really... Nothing?" Stiles asked sarcastically.

"See you at the loft, Stiles" Scott replied.

Scott started to make his way to the door to leave.

"Scott. Is he okay?" Stiles asked sadly.
Scott stopped and didn't even turn around to face Stiles. He only stared at the floor.

"I uh. I don't know" Scott said slowly.

Scott left the classroom, leaving Stiles alone. He saw Malia standing outside the door waiting for him, her folder propped under her arm.

Scott nodded to her as she looked up at him then preceeded into the classroom towards Stiles.

She placed her hand on his shoulder and he looked up at her. He pulled her close to him and their lips touched softly. They pulled away quickly aware that Coach was standing behind them at his desk. Luckily looking the other way.

Stiles slung his bag over his shoulder and walked out the door, hand in hand with Malia.

Scott searched through the hallways trying to find Luke.

He found him outside the maths rooms just as the last of his friends thumped him goodbye and walked off down the hallway. Yelling and throwing a football to each other.

Luke stood awkwardly having hardly looked at his friends, his head hung low and unable to look in anyone's eyes.

Only one of his friends hung around and Scott stopped himself from walking over when he realised who the boy was.

His squared off jawline and his slick-backed hair revealed his identity and all Scott do was stand there in disbelief...

It was Jackson...

Scott was flooded with dread, and his feet were rooted to the floor.
He pulled himself together and made his way to Luke, wary to not look suspicious. As he neared the pair, Luke noticed him and gave him a small wave. His head hung low and his eyes seemed to fill with glistening tears.
Jackson put his arm on his shoulder and Scott froze as he turned around to see who Luke was waving to.

And yet again Scott was looking into Jackson's eyes. Almost studying them. But he seemed different.

His eyes weren't mocking or arrogant, or full of hatred like Scott had remembered, but he seemed almost regretful as he looked at Scott.

Scott moved forward and held his hand out to him. Jackson took it thankfully and they shook hands.

"I'm sorry, Scott" Jackson said quietly.

"Thanks" Scott replied, astonished that he had just heard Jackson apologise.

They stared at each other for a while taking each other in, and noticing how they had changed until Luke broke the silence.

"How do you guys know each other?" Luke asked wiping a tear away.

"Long story" Jackson answered his gaze falling to the floor.

Luke turned to Scott and gave him a questioning look.

Scott shook his head, not wanting to relive his past experiences with Jackson.

"Are you going to Derek's?" Scott asked, changing the subject.

"Yeah I just... Wanted to stop at the Hospital on the way through" Luke answered.

"I'll come with you" Scott offered.

"Thanks" Luke replied, gratefully.

The pair said goodbye to Jackson and walked down the corridor.

Halfway to the Hospital, Scott looked up from his phone at Luke. His hands were tightly gripped on the wheel, his eyes rooted forward with the smallest hint of a tear. His whole body was shaking and Scott could hear his shallow quick breaths.

"Luke pull over" Scott ordered.

Luke obeyed and pulled up on the side of the road. That's when he lost all control. He shuddered and leaned forward on the wheel his sobs easily heard.

Scott placed a hand on his shoulder comfortingly and tried to console his newest beta.

Luke snuffled and looked up at Scott tear lines glistening down his face. A final tear slipped down his trembling face and he looked down in shame.

"I'm sorry" Luke said, his voice cracking miserably.

"What for?" Scott asked, confused.

"For not being strong. For being weak" Luke answered, wiping the tears from his face.

"You have nothing to be ashamed of, if you think that I've made it through everything without crying, sorry but you're severely mistaken" Scott said, cracking a smile.

Luke lips curled slowly into a smile, and he leaned over to Scott who took him into a hug.

Scott clapped him on the back after a few seconds.

"Let me drive, we'll go to Derek's and we will go to the Hospital tomorrow after school." Scott suggested.

Luke merely nodded and slid out of his seat. They quickly swapped and Scott turned on the car, pulled out onto the road.

The car ride was silent as Scott didn't want to upset Luke, or remind him of the recent events.

And Luke was in constant battle with his emotions. Thoughts racing through his mind faster than he could think about.

Thankful for Scott being next to him.
