Stay

I hoped I wouldn't go back again
I know it's not my choice but I'd like to have a say in it
I wish the light would stay for awhile longer
But even the brightest star burns out

Why can't I just stay happy a little while
Where the smiling and laughing isn't just an act
When I wasn't falling through the cracks
