I was thinking while I was preparing supper for myself and the other students that I live with and this thought was around issues, where do they begin and why are they so hard to solve and this is the end of that thread.
Fruits or roots
Which do we deal with?
Should we separate the bad fruit from the good
Being glad that there is something good in all of the bad
Or should we spend our days searching for what is rotten
Being sure to rid the bunch of what is killing them
All the while leaving the tree to do as it wishes
So where is the problem where is the issue?
Is it the hungry mouths with no food to eat
Or is it the tight hands gripping it with greed
Is it in the sticky fingers of Street kids and desperate father's
Or in the corrupt actions of government and corporate collar's
Is is the depraved mind of the man who cannot keep his hands to himself or is the men that didn't teach him to love and protect as a child
Is the fault in the pains of the suicidal teen
Or is it those who would not listen to him scream
Do broken hearts come from boys who mistreat women or women who were never told how to be treated
All of this bad fruit and we still fail to uproot the tree.
