Chapter 2

Emmah's POV

My face turned white as a ghost when Alex turned towards me and gave a smirk. "Hey," Alex said to me. "Uh, uh, hi..." I said I said like an idiot. Nice going Emmah, I thought to myself. "This is Emmah," gesturing to me, " we are doing a school project together and we need to work here." Andy explained to Alex. "No bedrooms ." Alex warned me and Andy jokingly as he waved us off and turned back to whatever he was doing. "Are you finally filling out your school papers?" Andy asked. " Yeah..." He half mindedly answered us. "uhm, let's go to the loft upstairs." Andy gestured to the stairs as I followed him up the stairs. We go into the open room he called the loft and plop down on the big fluffy couch. "You own Finding Nemo right?" I asked him. " I think it's in Alex's room. I'll go and see if it is.", he said as he left the room. "I'll just be in here then." I called after him. Well this is awkward, I thought to myself.... Just as I was thinking this, Alex walked into the room. He stands there looking at me funny with a confused look on his face. My face turns red as I awkwardly try look everywhere but Alex. " Do I know you from somewhere? Because you look really familiar." He finally asks me. Crap. "uhm, I don't think so, I think I would recognize you if I saw you before." I blurt out to him. " ha. Well what's that supposed to mean, 'you would recognize me'?" "well, uh, I don't know I just", he cut me off before I started mumbling. "I'm just messing with you. I get what you mean, I think" he said as he raised his eyebrow at me. "Well I gotta go finish my papers so i can go to school tomorrow,bye.", He started to say. "Wait! Are you going to Bogan Shire? And what grade are you in?" I call to him. "Uh, yeah I'm going to BS, and I'm a Junior." He said. "My brother Jace is in the same grade as you then, maybe you'll have some classes with him." I told Alex. "I'll have to look around for him then. Well I guess I'll see you tomorrow maybe, bye." He said. "bye". And then he left the room. As Alex was leaving the room, Andy was walking in too. "I found it" Andy stated to nobody in particular. " Ok, then let's watch it" I tell Andy. Andy puts the movie in and sets it up so we can finally start watching it, then walks over to the couch. We take or respective sides of the couch while situatting ourselves until comfortable. The movie started and we sat there and watched it.

I don't know when I fell asleep during the movie but I woke up with my head in a sleeping Andy's lap. Crap! I don't even know how I ended up like this. I sit up and go back to the end of the couch and wake up Andy in the process. "Well I should probably get going home now. I think Jace will be mad if I stay much longer anyways." I tell him. "uhm yeah, I'll walk you out.". We get up and walk downstairs together as I call Jace to pick me up. We sit on the porch talking about what we want to do for our project while waiting for Jace to finally get here. Jace pulls up in his car while glaring at Andy, at least he's staying in the car, I think to myself. "Well I better go before Jace gets out to drag me to the car." I tell him. " Yeah, uh, well see you tomorrow then." He tells me as I walk towards the car. I wave goodbye to him as I get into the car. Jace speeds out of the driveway before I can even buckle myself in.

I don't know why but I couldn't stop smiling as we drove home, I think Jace was talking but I tuned him out. We got home and I absent mindedly got out of the car and went inside. I walked up to my room and just realized that, I think I like Andy.
