anastasia ramirez;

by the time we both woke up again it was 9am and this time we were both fully rested.

ivanna was now perfectly fine, or at least she was after having a long drink and a bowl of cornflakes. she was now, however, sat waiting for sam's facetime.

sat next to me eyeing down my phone which was on the sofa next to her, puppy eyes full of excitement.

"mooommmy!" she squealed, seconds before the facetime popped up. as soon as she saw it she almost squealed, turning to it quickly and waiting for my nod to say she could slide and answer it.

i'm pretty sure she squealed again once she slid into the facetime because as soon as she did, the facetime was filled with sam's face and a chuckle which belonged to him.

"heyyya!" he exclaimed as soon as he saw ivanna's face pop up, to which ivanna returned a 'hiiiiya sammy boy' very excitedly causing him to laugh even more.

they both proceeded to have a very nice conversation, which shocked me considering my daughter was three and could have a better conversation with a guy she's known for a month or two then i can with my parents, who i've known all my life.

i guess that was something she picked up from her dad. he was very quick to make friends, to charm people.

clearly.

"sammy, are you okay?!" she cut me off quickly, tapping my arm as she remembered back to the events four hours ago.

he gave a confused chuckle, nodding his head, "of course, i'm doing great ivy!" he shot that all-white smile at her, causing her to grin even more. "why do you ask babydoll, what's wrong?"

this guy already knew my child inside out. how, i don't know.

her face had changed too though, her expressions deepened into sadder, more frightened ones as she began to tell him her nightmare.

"-and, a-and," she stopped, took a breath and started again. "a-and you didn't wake up sammy! y-you didn't w-wake up!"

his expressions had deepened too, the fact that my child could have a nightmare like that obviously saddened him. it saddened me to hear it, but at five this morning i just needed sleep. hearing it back, however, i just wanted to hug the life out of her.

the fact that he didn't wake up in her dream terrified her.

"aw baby!" he called from over the screen, trying to cheer her up in a way. "don't worry, i'm here still. i'm awake!" he patted his arm, tapped his head in order to show her that he was still here, still alive and awake.

"i'm here, i'm all good!"

she smiled so brightly, giggling before they proceeded to have a nice, normal conversation.

"-so!" sammy's voice caught me off from my thoughts now as ivanna started squealing, once more. "if it's okay with your mommy, ivy, we can go and we can get some chicken nuggets and shakes huh? how does that sound!"

"goood! eee!"

"ooor," i just smiled, cutting them both off, "we can have smoothies and binge watch disney films here?"

"sounds good to me!" sam called back over the screen, "ivy, is that all good?"

"good!"

"alright, it's sorted then," i grinned, "12 o'clock wilk, no later!"

"got it, boss!" he saluted, saying his byes to ivy and me before disappearing.

ivanna was now definitely over excited, whereas i couldn't wait for him to get her so she would finally calm the heck down.

i was looking forward to them disney movies though. and that smoothie..

"mommy!" ivanna called, knocking me out another trance. "we needa get ready!"

it was literally 9 o' clock, we had time.

she was too excited.

i was dying on the inside because of how excited she got, this killed me.
