Chapter 4

As soon as I get to my car, I call my best friend, Amber.

"Hey Yasmine! How did the appointment go with the hottest doc in town?" Amber has always been enthusiastic about guys.

"It went well. He's so different from what people have told me! Did you know he has tattoos all over his arms and chest and a lip piercing? He has really long curly hair and bright green eyes. And he seems so intimidating but when he starts talking, his accent immediately puts you at ease."

She giggles and squeals throughout my speech about this 'hot doctor' and after she tells me that I could probably dump Liam for Dr. Styles, I decide I should get off the phone and go home.

When I arrive home, Liam is sitting on the couch laid back with the remote in his hand watching the television intently.

"Hey Yaz. How was your day?" He walks over to me and kisses my forehead.

"It was okay. I had the appointment today about the contraceptive."

"How did it go?"

"It was fine." I decide to leave out the details of how hot the doctor was.

"He was talking to me about the dangers of us having unprotected sex and he said you should get tested in case you have a disease." He looks at me with an emotion that I can't quite decipher.

"He? Your doctor is a he?" Oops...

"Yes he is. But I think he has a wife. She works at the front desk of the practise." I know she isn't his wife or anything to him but Liam doesn't have to know this.

"And he's a gynaecologist?" Here we go...

"Yes Liam, he is. Why are you so angry about it?"

"I just feel a little bit uneasy about you having a male for a doctor. Especially because he's a gynaecologist. He's going to poke and prod you and find out things about your body that only I should know..." I laugh slightly at him.

"He's a doctor, he sees different bodies everyday. I'm sure he won't remember mine in particular, Liam. He's okay babe, I promise." I bring my hands to his cheeks and pull his face to mine so I can kiss his cheek.

"Okay. I trust he will keep his hands to himself." He smiles at me.

"I'm going back next week for a general check up. If you're so worried, why don't you come with me?" His smile fades.
