Jungkook
"You idiot...! You could've warned me first before dropping your towel down like that...!" (Y/n) hissed as her rapidly beating heart pumped all the blood into her cheeks.
Perfectly attired according to the dress code, both of us walked through the hallway alongside other Aspirants whom also dressed the same as we did.
Some were already there strutting down the hallway as some just popped out from their new crib joining the rest."Sorry...that's how i always introduce myself with girls..." I joked, holding in a chuckle to avoid any further confrontation with my new partner.
"I am very curious to how are you still able to be joking at a time like this. You are aware that we'll be thrown into series of vigorous training and fight an unwilling war that none of us had ever signed up for, right...?" We both turned to one corner, about to enter into another short hall that quickly leads to the main concourse of the Pentagon.
"I get that you're upset but in order to work side by side, you need to accept how your partner operates." I responded as we entered into a large asymmetrical dome like hall.
The transparent ceiling sore high above us, letting in the, somewhat, natural sunlight to pour in. The walls were painted white, decorated with rows of Corporals standing side by side each other.
"By operate, you mean your true combat skills in the field instead of in the sheets?" Despite being in a new alienated environment, (Y/n) still kept the sass with her.
"Snappy, aren't we?"
"Attention to all Aspirants and Corporal. Please proceed to the gathering point, immediately." A female voice was heard amongst us, summoning our prompt attendance.
Which we soon later source it directly towards a single middle-aged woman that stood on a rectangular stage that was smacked right in the middle of the concourse.
She wasn't alone. Standing side by side her were these two large scary looking European men, acting as guards for her."Stick close by." I whispered to (Y/n), wrapping my fingers around at the edge of the bottom of her baggy shirt. Gently pulling her with me as the guards or Corporal guided us to where we should place ourselves in the large hall before the announcement begins.
You
Of course, in situations like these, my eyes automatically began scanning the room for him.
Where are you....?
I couldn't focus on tracking Jimin down.
Instead, i was too distracted over the fact that this kid was pulling at my already baggy shirt."Jungkook, let go...!" I hissed at him, prying my shirt away from his long fingers.
"Do you want to get lost in the crowd?" He snapped back, gripping harder."I'm not a kid — and i know damn well enough to take care of myself...!" Slapping his hand away but failed miserably.
From having his fingers around the edges of my shirt, Jungkook proceeded to finally let go but in exchange for my own hands instead."You're really not up for being a team player, aren't you?" He said as a hint of a smirk began to show itself, slightly.
So the announcement began. Telling and informing the Aspirants what they've already heard and known.
Basically solidifying the fact that we needed to kill each other for the antivirus after undergoing vigorous training within the Dome."And, may i remind you that once you've entered into the Dome, you all need to remember that everything is a test and a simulation.
However...the pain and injuries you might receive out of this is truly real. So be prepared and may the odds be ever in your favour, fellow Aspirants.""Feeling the urge to hurl this easy-talking bitch into the realm with me. See what you've just said applies to you or not...tch..."
Both of our heads turned sideways towards this one guy that stood not too far from us.
With his arms crossed on his chest and a messy brown hair. Almond shaped eyes and fairly thick lips.
Noticed that his presence was heard, he abruptly turned his head to face us.
"Oh, sorry. Did i say that out loud?""This guy is funny..." Taking a quick glance back at me, Jungkook whispered to me as an excited grin appeared on his pale face.
"Aye, Jungkook. District 10. This is my partner — "
" — i know who you are...it's... It's a pleasure to meet you.
Sorry, I'm Kim Taehyung. District 14.""See? You're famous." Again, he turned around to face me before looking back at his possibly new found best friend.
Famous?
"Uh...um...hi. Do we know each other?" Curious, i asked.
"No, but you're quite known in my district..."
(And apparently Jungkook's as well since he, too, knew me)
"...and I'm not surprised that you don't remember." Coming a little closer towards me, this Kim Taehyung seemed oddly intrigued by my presence. That was odd; remember? Do they know something that i don't or was my memory wiped out from my own brain?
The last assumption wasn't that all impossible as things like that tends to happen on various occasions once you're placed in a twisted city like Tihgib."....Thus, let the training begin...."
Having the last sentences the lady had announced to capture our attention back, seemed like everyone were beginning to move as if to locate into another destination.
"Shit, where are we heading now?" I muttered.
"To training, where else? We'll do more of the introduction there, then." Looking over his shoulder, Taehyung responded. Ending his words with a side grin, as if none of this was effecting either him nor anyone else around me.In fact, it just finally occurred to me; as i let my eyes wonder off to my circular surroundings, i began to notice the reactions to the faces of other Aspirants.
They seemed oddly calm for a reason.
As if they've endured what was happening at that moment more than once.
Why was this all new to me, thou?
Has this all actually happened before?
Was it true; has my memory really been wiped out like how Taehyung made it sound like?
