The Next Day

So my Corporal tracked me down after that chaotic mess i have created in the once peaceful cafeteria and immediately assigned the both of us to our punishments.

Corporal Wonho's punishments were different yet difficult at the same time.
He made us hang upside down by our legs on a tree trunk while attempting to kill our targeted preys below us as he watches from afar.

If one of us decides to bail on the task first or give up due to exhaustion, you'd have to run around the forest until he orders you to stop with your hands above your head.
Apart from that, we also have to perform the given tasks before the tree trunk gives in on our double weight.

Devilish, right?

"Well...it could have been A LOT worse... " still in the same decent manner we were both in, Taehyung commented while keeping his eyes scanning his entire upsidedown world. Thoroughly searching for anything that was moving amongst us that would make the perfect target.

I wasn't so sure about his stamina but Taehyung was doing well for himself.
His main weapon was a bow and endless supply of arrows that hung right side up at the side of his tall slender body.

"I hate Corporal Wonho right now..." i muttered, having about a couple of my throwing knives in one grip as i haven't been able to make an attempt to find a target yet.
At the time, i couldn't traced the Corporal's whereabouts anymore. Either he had disappeared or had cleverly hidden himself from our view.

"You wanna stay here longer..." he start.
Curious, I looked over at Taehyung as he took a quick pause.

As we both were still hung upside down, he took his gaze away from the scenery and looked over at me as a smirk appeared on his face. Continued
"....or do you wanna see me beat you first in this game?"

So it begins;

We both ditch the bat-style punishment but performed our tasks instead. His idea was that whoever managed to kill the most wins.

Dashing through the trees, we would either did it on the ground or occasionally climbed up to target anything that was breathing.
Continuously killing anything in sight using our own respective weapons with quick and swift moves.

Taehyung challenged me in order for me to move my stubborn ass but still go with Corporal's plan as long as we get the job done.

I was safely on the ground, calling out for him.
"Tae!" Stopping to take a breather after successfully shooting a few blades at a few different animals a moment ago.

It was already difficult for me to trace him in the woods, but then Tae lets himself became noticeable after hearing my call for him;
He was hiding high above me in the tree with one long arm hugging the body of the tree as the other held his bow.

"What?"

"What if he'll disapprove of us not hanging on the tree?"

"I beg to differ. I think his main goal was for us to be able to remain focus....and target anything in sight..." trailing off, i watched how Taehyung raised his bow and arrow right in front of him as he seemed to be aiming directly towards me.

Wait, what the -

It was too late. He released the arrow with a simple gesture of a single finger before the intimidating thin arrow began to shoot itself directly towards me.

I couldn't process what was happening. My heart skipped two beats as the arrow that i thought was meant for me ended up moving passed me, barely grazing my ear at one point. Piercing the real target that was located just behind me, on the ground.
