It was difficult but i made it work.

With such reluctance, I went forward with the training as i gave her the silent treatment.

Well, i wasn't completely muted.

After (Y/n) refused to tell me the full story regarding that Jungkook boy, i only opened my mouth when it's necessary.

We walked further and further into the woods and went up a small hill to continue our training.
"Slow down...! I can't keep up...!" I heard her from behind me.

Geez, was this the same girl that nearly broke the system last year? With such low stamina, it was difficult to even convinced myself sometimes.

"*heavy sigh* Hurry up, i don't have all the time in the world just to wait on you." I snapped, almost in a whisper.

"Corporal, don't be like this - "
I cut her off.

What she was planning on saying next were unnecessary and a complete waste of my precious time. I had other Aspirants to train apart from this useless brat so i nearly raised my voice, partially hissing
"Shut up and fffocus...!!!"

As i still had my glaring eyes on her, i dug a hand into one of my pockets of my pants and pulled out a Shuriken.
When we both got up on the hill, i had spotted a mouse deer not too far away from us (thus also explains why i needed her to shut up).
And my intentions were to kill it with a single blow to the neck using a small weapon.

Without having to aim at it, i just needed to throw it at the same direction, height and release the Shuriken with the right amount of strength.

And there it went, with a quick flick of my wrist, the Shuriken flew off my fingers as it sliced through the air. Heading directly towards my prey before the sound of a silent wet slick of skin being cut opened was heard.

I didn't bother about the animal behind me; still having my eyes on her, i watched how (Y/n)'s hands flew towards her face. Cupping her jaw-dropped mouth as her eyes watched the helpless animal fall down to the ground with a distant thud behind me.

"Your turn." Simply, i said. Carving up a low-key side smirk while my arm that threw the small weapon slowly fell to my side.

Speechless, (Y/n) motioned the loudest 'What?!' just with her eyes.

"With just one." I added, handing her one of my Shuriken before pointing out the new prey that had conveniently appeared in the same distance but at a different spot from the deceased one.

Hesitantly, she reached out an arm towards me. Taking the little lethal weapon from me, eying it before returning her gaze on me.

I gestured for her move with a slight nod. Somewhat challenging her with my facial expression as i did so.

So, what... mercilessly exterminating innocent animals are a part of the training now?

Having the petit Shuriken wrapped around my grip, i slowly shook my head as i look at him. Didn't even realized that i might have held it too hard.

"Ah...!"

Silly me. The small lethal weapon fell from my hand as i lay my eyes on my now bloody palm.

"Ya~ Be careful!" I heard my Corporal cried. Hurriedly coming forward before taking my injured hand into his as he fumbles around his back pants pocket.

Taking out a handkerchief, Corporal Wonho immediately yet gently wrapped the thin cloth around me. And he was too focus to even noticed how my eyes slowly crept itself to look up at him.

He mumbled some more
"You weren't as clumsy before as you are now. *sigh* I miss the old you...."

As he still attended to my wound, I figure I'd ask him about what he had meant.
"Now that you've mentioned it; was i one of your trainees once before? You know, before all of my memories have been erased off?"

What really happened was that you were lost in the depths of that same forest. Got too close to the flaming red hot lake and bitten by one of them during a messy struggle.

However, instead of infecting you with the virus, the whole ordeal ended up curing the person who had bit you.
Causing 'them' to put the whole game into a screeching halt in order to regain the cured creature from the forest and retrieve him back into the Pentagon to make him undergo several experiments.

How did i even know all of this? Simple. Everything was recorded and reviewed by everybody in Tihgib. Practically the entire nation close by, actually.

In each realms and arenas, they had every corner covered with heavy endurance yet cleverly discreet cameras to capture every moments of the game despite the conditions of different arenas.
Like a sick and twisted football game.

So, yes. You have the immunity to the deadly virus that 'they' themselves had bestowed upon us all across the globe.
The true immunity was in your own blood and that majorly pisses off the Government.
To the point where it was necessary for them to waste a full year of hardcore training of the first batch Aspirants and to seek the necessity of cancelling the entire game itself.

And, to answer your original question;
No, (Y/n). You weren't one of my trainee.
I never trained anyone, professionally.

I was just another Aspirant. Just like you.

But...we were actually close. Very close. Too close, maybe.
