The audience applauded and the set is change to the very next scene. Riley and the gang strolled to the East Wing. The Curtain closed. Then they heard Sebastian from the front side of the curtains, who is articulates to the Audiences about the next scene. Lucas halts Farkle by his left shoulder.
"How is Smackle?" Lucas curiously worried.
"She's fine. Nikki harasses her but we talk..." Farkle explained.
"Harass?" Riley inquired suspiciously. "You mean Nikki tease her."
"Bullied her" Maya actually corrected Riley's choice of wording.
"Why would Nikki pick on someone like Smackle?" Riley queried. "Okay, Smackle is very awkward and has a big mouth..."
"Not too often very annoying." Lucas added.
"But Smackle is so innocent." Riley replied.
"And sweet." Farkle added.
"Why would Nikki pick on her?" Riley exaggeratedly asks the same question again.
"They want attention." Cory answered Riley's question, which surprises them out of nowhere. "So far Nikki is talk of the show."
"Why does she let popularity get into her head?" Riley asks.
"This is about communication, Riley. Not popularity. People have their own ways to communicates. Some thought joking about or around them is a hole in one, when trying to make friends. But they don't realize how they can easily hurt someone." Cory explains.
"Any advice you would give us before we go Mr. Matthews?" Farkle requested.
"Be there for Smackle. No matter she refuses your invitation." Cory answered.
Riley and Maya look at each other. They know what they must do.
"We'll go find Smackle." Riley replied. Then she hugs her and almost the rest of the gang exit the East Wing.
Then Maya utters to Cory, "Break a leg."
"Thanks Maya."
"No literally break your leg. By the time we finished this play, I have no time to study for your exam next Monday."
