|Astrid|
Astrid. She whispered. Astrid! She began to wave her hand in front of my face. What Lake...what could you possibly need? I asked putting my phone down before I became distracted again. I have amazing news! She squealed. Ouch. Hey. Hey newsflash. Squealing hurts people's ears. Don't freaking do it. I whined covering my ears still. Oh my gosh A would you stop whining and just listen? Laken questioned, quieting her voice. I suppose that depends on what this is even going to be about. Because one, if it's a party then the answers no. Two, if you're trying to hook me up with someone then the answer is no. And three, if you're going to sit here and fangirl about random shit until my ears bleed then the answer is definitely no. I spoke rolling my eyes at her as she scoffed. She began rambling about something random that I had no interest in, not actually listening I gave her the occasional nod of my head or sound of agreement when I thought necessary. A, you're not even listening. Guarantee you have no clue what I'm trying to tell you. I blushed at that. I knew she'd be able to tell. What if she was talking about like a dead cat or something. I'm screwed. No way to get out of this one. Good going Astrid. U-uh I stumbled over what I should have said to her. Ugh. Astrid what has you so distracted? Who has your attention other than your best friend, who's on that phone? She spoke going from agitated to smirking at that last part. Lake...i have absolutely no clue what you're talking about. How could anybody but you have my attention. If I let you, you'd talk until my ears literally bled.
I rolled my eyes, waking up my phone to check the phone...and to see if I had any recent messages. Laken spoke again once I looked at her. You are the worst liar Astrid. I hope you know that. She flipped me off and walked to the kitchen, grumbling something along the lines of 'why am I friends with you again' under her breath. I of course heard this and shouted. Because you love me and only you can put up with me! To which I heard Laken scoff and more than likely roll her eyes. I went back to searching Netflix for some way to spend our uneventful Saturday. Laken came back into the family room with two sodas, already drinking her diet Dr Pepper. Of course, she can't wait to actually begin a movie before she must snack. Insert a rolling of the eyes here. Laken I don't know what to watch. None of this looks interesting, honestly every single one is just a cheesy plot of how one person gets the other. I pouted at her. Only because that's all you ever look for. Why don't you put on a horror movie or something! Laken spoke with an accusing tone. Because I spok dragging out the word. You do awful during horror movies and quite frankly I don't feel like losing feeling in my arm again. That was not fun. I rolled my eyes again. I do that a lot. Maybe I should stop. You see the last time we watched a horror movie, she punched and or gripped my arm so hard every time something popped up that I had bruises running up and down my bicep and had a numb arm. Not fun I tell you. Not fun. I do not you ass! She yelled. Laken can you not scream. This is why you don't have friends. I narrowed my eyes. No, no we don't have friends because you don't talk to anybody and so they don't wanna talk to either of us. It was her turn to roll her eyes.
Ughhh Lakey can we just go to like the park or something. You know damn well we're not going to find a movie any time soon. I groaned. Yeah, why not. Grab my shoes for me please? Laken asked giving me the puppy dog face. Once we had our shoes on and grabbed our phones, we walked out the door, hopped in my old jeep and went to the park.

Okay so, I'm going to try this one more time. I'm going to try and make this as least cheesy as possible. This chapter is only like 5 pages long and I'm well aware of that but it's really just an opening into their personality really. Chapters will be longer I promise.
