Promises- Sehun

**

As you were walking home the wind felt cold against your skin. Much colder than the past nights

When you got to your house you held the door knob feeling the coldness against your palm

You opened the door and you were greeted by the darkness that you always see when you get home nowadays

You got your shoes off and dragged your tired feet against the cold floor of the house

Never bothering to switch on the lights, you got to you and your boyfriends shared bedroom and saw that he was lying on the bed sleeping..

It was always like this now.. You get home from work, he was sleeping. He goes to work and youre still fast asleep.

No messages, not even calls..

Then you put your bag down and got to his side and tried to touch his face but the moment your cold fingers touched his angelic face he turned his back to you

Tears started to escape your eyes and you covered your mouth to prevent making noises

"Why Sehun??*sob*W-what happened to us??*sob*"

You looked at the picture on the bedside table and it was the day Sehun asked you to be his girlfriend

It was at an amusement park.. Many people were there and aat the middle of that you were surprised when he kneeled infront of you and he held your hand

When he got the peoples attention..

"____.. Thank you for always being there for me.. I promise to take care of you, to love you and cherish you until the day I die.. I will never leave your side ____.. Remember that ok? Even though I have a tight and busy schedule now, I'll always have time for you.. I love you so much ____, so infront of these people... Will you accept this promise ring and be my girlfriend?"

Then he opened a velvet box and inside was a silver ring with a small diamond in the middle

Tears of joy started to trickle down your cheeks and you started nodding and the peaople around you cheered

~~The next day~~

You woke up with an empty space beside you and you just sighed looking at the clock which read '10:43am'

Reaching for your phone, you dialed Sehun's number and after several rings he picked up

"Se-"

"Look ____.. I'm really busy right now so please stop calling me. Oh and by the way... Im coming home late. Bye"

After that he just ended the call not being able to talk to him

"I feel like he doesnt love me anymore so.. What's the point in staying?"

You looked at the promise ring Sehun gave you exactly 3 years ago and removed it. You prevented yourself from crying and immediately got out of the bed getting a pen and a piece of paper

Sehun got home and tiredly walked to your shared bedroom and you were not there.

He then opened your drawers and cabinet but your clothes were no where to be found.

He started to panic and saw a piece of rolled paper laying on the bedside table with a ring around it. It was the promise ring Sehun gave you..

He got it and started reading

'Sehun.. What happened to us? What happened to the promises you promised me? There are so many questions that are running in my mind right now.. I know that before I came to your life is that you loved your work so much. I understand that, because this is your dream... But you promised to make time for me right? For us..

Yes.. You used to be very caring.. Back then you chose me over your work. Why can't you do it now??

Sehun remembered those times and he felt like he was being stabbed right in the heart when he saw that you were using past tense and he felt useless right now

You used to be very thoughtful and loving. Always trying to find time to call or text me just to say 'I love you'.. I really miss those day Sehun.. I miss your voice, your laugh, your eyes... I MISS YOU SEHUN.

"I'm so s-sorry ____... I did'nt know*sobs*"

Im sorry for leaving but I just couldnt take it anymore.. I feel so unloved and I also dont want to be a burden to you so I couldnt think of another way..

Maybe someday.. If fate favors us... We'll still be together but for now, I want you to fulfill your dreams. Be the man you always wanted to be.. Always be happy ok? Don't stress yourself too much.

Oh and.. It's our 3rd Anniversary and I know you forgot.

Just remember... I love you so much and I hope this isn't the last time I get to say this to you..

After he finished reading the letter he started crying louder and he clutched the paper in his hand while holding the ring in the other

He lifted the ring infront of his face

"I'm so sorry ____.. I can't be happy without you... Y-you're my happiness... I-I promise... This isn't the last time. I love you so much*sobs*"
