Thinking Out Loud {Sequel to 'The Only Exception'}

I'm more of a hugger

I basically spent the rest of my shift explaining to Ariana how I knew the boys and then her reaction to the whole story then her telling me how hot she thought Josh was. I picked up my handbag and placed all my items that throughout the day had been scattered out around my desk into it. The boys hadn't come out of their meeting yet and I was hoping I'd leave before they did. I went into the back cupboard to get my jacket when unluckily for me I heard their voices coming along the corridor. I contemplated staying in the cupboard until they left but I soon heard JJ asking "hi, has Lucy left yet?"

"No she's just getting her jacket" I heard Ariana reply. shit. I had to come out now. I walked out while putting maroon coloured jacket on.

"Oh hi boys" I smiled at them.

"Are you just leaving now? we were gonna go out for a coffee, you should come we can have a catch up!" Jaymi offered. I was going to say no but I was actually quite interested to find out what the boys had been up to the last few years even though I could just google their name and find out anything I wanted. I suppose seeing them today made me realise that they were my best friends and even though its a bit awkward between me George and Josh I was really close with JJ and Jaymi and I just miss them i guess.

"Sure, that would be nice" I smiled at him.

"Come on then my lady" Jaymi smiled linking his arm in mine and leading me out the door. See this is what I've missed.

We got a taxi to Starbucks and just as we were getting out I felt someone grab my hand.

"Wait a minuet Lucy" Josh said as the rest of the boys went into Starbucks and the taxi drove off leaving us standing in the middle of the pavement. "I just wanted to say that I feel horrible for what I did and I explained everything to George and told him how it was all my fault not yours and Lucy he misses you, he misses you so much. He's not had a girlfriend since you and he's not over you. He mentions you at least once everyday. I just want you to know that I do have a girlfriend now and I hope we can be friend. Me and George have managed to look over this and I hope you and him can to. I guess what I'm saying is that you and George should have another try at your relationship." He rubbed the back off his neck and looked down at the ground nervously waiting for me to say something. "Please for him" he added. I didn't say anything. I just hugged him. He wrapped his arms around my back tightly.

"I missed you boys so much" I smiled at him. "and I do really miss George" I blushed.

"Good, I think you should tell him that! Now let's go inside"

We walked inside and joined the boys at the table they were sitting at. We were just having general chat when George spoke for the first time today "This is so weird, ya know just all of us being together again"

"It is but it's so good to be together again" Jaymi smiled taking a sip from his coffee.

"Being honest I didn't think I'd see you boys again, I thought you'd all of forgotten about me" I told them truthfully.

"How could we forget about you Lucy?!" JJ laughed. We all laughed along with him.

"I never forgot about you" I heard a whisper coming from George. I wasn't sure if I was meant to hear it or not so I pretended I didn't. But that one comment made my heart melt, made me feel so happy. Maybe I was wrong when I thought I was over George. I guess because I hadn't had to face him I decided that I was over him.

We talked for almost another hour about what we'd all been up too since we last saw each other. There was no awkwardness between me and George at all which I was happy about.

"Lucy we live just round the corner why don't you come back to ours for dinner?" Josh offered.

"Oh guys I don't want to get in your way, it's fine honestly, I know how busy you all are" I told Josh.

"No we have the night off, come! It will be like old times" George encouraged me. I blushed slightly remembering our old memories.

"You honestly don't mind if I come?" I asked them.

"Oh stop fussing, it's not even your decision anymore, your coming!" Jaymi said making me giggle.

"Lets go then! I wanna get back in time for the football!" Josh said excitedly jumping out of his seat. We all laughed and rolled our eyes at his typical boyish behaviour.

The boys actually lived really close to the Starbucks which must be good for George, fuelling his well known coffee addiction. We were all going round to Josh's flat for dinner. When I walked in I was met with a pad of luxury.

"Wow" were the only words I could get out of my mouth. It was massive and moderne, stocked with all the latest electronic items. Josh lived here on his own and just opposite him lived George and just along the hall was where JJ lived with his girlfriend Caterina and pug Lola and in the other direction along the hall was where Jaymi lived with his boyfriends Olly. (I was filled in with all this information on the way to Josh's flat)

"Nice isn't it" Josh smirked plonking his body onto the large sofa and turning on the football just as the kickoff started "perfect timing" he smiled.

"What does everyone want to eat" JJ asked.

"Takeaway?" Jaymi suggested

"Yeah I have a selection of different menus in the kitchen draw" Josh told us not taking his eyes off the football.

"I'll go find them" I offered and walked through to the kitchen. I opened a couple draws and couldn't seem to find them. "Guys I can't find them" I shouted through as I kept looking. I heard footsteps coming through then saw George walking in the door.

"Look there in here" he chuckled going to the first top draw.

"Oh" I said feeling a bit stupid

"Lucy?" George suddenly said sounding very serious.

"Yes George?"

"Um... Josh explained everything to me"

"Yeah he told me"

"I'm sorry, I should of given you the chance to explain but I didn't I was angry, I'm such an idiot!" he cursed at himself.

"No George you shouldn't be sorry, I should! I suppose we both made a mistake; mine obviously bigger and more to blame, you are not at all an idiot George!" I told him. George smiled down at the ground scuffing his feeling a couple times before speaking up.

"Lets start again" he looked up for my confirmation and I nodded "Hi my names George; George Shelley" he said cheekily raising one eyebrow making me giggle.

"Hi George it's lovely to meet you! my names Lucy" I smiled putting my hand out for him to shake. He shook my hand for a couple if seconds before pulling me into a tight hug.

"Sorry I'm more of a hugger"

AWWWWW idk about you but that last line "Sorry I'm more of a hugger" is soooooo cute.

Talking about hugs; I read this interview today and it was the funniest thing Josh called George "The hug whore of the band" idk I find that hilarious!! It's just like 'George the hug whore' ok someone stop me before I die of laughter :')

Anyway back to the story

U P D A T E ! I think this one is of an ok length? Please let me know? and I don't think it took me too long to update did it? I'm learning guys! I've just been really busy and I've been ill and I've had family emergencies and stuff so yeah
