Em and I sat next to each other in the comfortable leather seats of the limo and just stared around exploring every inch of the limo that we could see in awe.
We could hear the muffled talking of Mr Smith and Sam outside of the black tinted windows and then after waiting for a few short minutes the door opened quickly and Chris clambered into the back of the limo with us and a couple of seconds later we heard the front door open and we assumed the Sam must have gotten in the front ( which was separated by a black screen).
The engine rumbled and we were soon on our way to wherever Chris lived. I was excited but also very nervous on what it was going to be like.
For a few moments we sat in a bit of an awkward silence. None of us sure of what to say. Me and Em still awestruck at the luxury of the limo.
Suddenly a question popped into my head that I was very anxious of what the answer would be. After a few seconds on pondering on whether I should ask the question, I finally just went for it.
"Ermm, I was wondering whether you have any sons or daughters?" I asked politely.
Em had two brothers and one sister which she cared about deeply and I, cared for them almost as much as she did. They were like my own and loved them dearly.
I was worried, however that if he did that they would either dislike me, or they would make fun of me about my.. situation.
"Ahh, yes I forgot to tell you about this. I have three sons and one daughter. My eldest son, Bradley is 19, and he is off at university, so you won't see that much of him, my other two sons are twins, Oliver and James, and they are 16, so the same age as you, and then my youngest is Molly and she is 15 so you two and her I'm sure will become really good friends. Sophia, you and the twins used to be the best of friends when you were little so I'm sure that you get on with them well." He replied, while me and Em tried to listen very carefully as to remember their names and ages.
"I'm not sure I remember the twins, but I think I remember Bradley, because he used to push me on the swings, if I remember correctly."
"Yes that's right. I'm very sure that the twins will be so pleased to see you again. When they were younger they used to talk about you all the time. They are very mischievous though so I would be very careful of them!" He warned, chuckling at the end.
Both my nerves and my level of excitement had gone up, and I just wanted to get there and settle in.
Although it hasn't been that long, I think that I have accepted my parents death and I am positive that they would have wanted me to live my life to the fullest and not to mope over them. I will of course try to keep them solid in my memory and try and think of them everyday, they would have told me to carry on with my life and there favourite saying was to "just go with the flow", and even though at this moment in time, that was very hard, I was determined to live my life how they would have wanted and to make them proud.
I was pulled out from my deep train of thought by Em tapping me on the shoulder, telling me that we were here.
I nodded silently and obviously both anxious about our new life we clambered out of the limo and held hands, and as soon as we were into the fresh air, the first thing that hit us was the smell of sea salt and the sound of crashing waves.
We were stood about 10 metres from the edge of a tall, white cliff, the edge fenced off. The darkness blocked us from seeing what was beyond the cliff and we couldn't see the sea, only hear it.
As we were awoken from our gaze at the cliff edge we turned around and realised that we were standing next to our new home.
It was a beautiful, white beach house which was absolutely massive. Both me and Em gasped at the sight and squealed at the exact same time causing us to erupt into a fit of quiet giggles.
We walked up the wooden patio/ decking area and Chris open the white, wooden panelled door and into the creamy coloured and very well decorated living room. It had a beachy theme, with shells placed on the mantle piece above the unlit fireplace, stacked with what looked like driftwood. There were a few fish nets strewn decoratively in a few corners of the room and there was a large sliding door window, which I'm sure in the light would have shown an amazing and spectacular view of the horizon.
There were three cream sofas placed sort of in a rectangle, a 60" television making up the fourth side. Overall the living room looked beautiful and looked very homely and cosy.
In the left hand corner of the room were a set of black spiral stairs which looked really cool. Chris motioned us over quietly, so as not to wake up anyone who was sleeping in the house.
We followed him silently up the stairs, careful not to make a sound on the metal stairs and when we reached the top, he led us down, an again cream, carpeted hallway passing 6 other doors until he reached the very end.
He twisted the intricately carved wooden door handle and cautiously open the door, trying not to make it creak to loudly.
Inside the room were two single beds, placed side by side, opposite a large balcony, separated from the room by a sliding door, much like the living room. The room was very big and was painted a pale purple colour with one wall, which had the bed heads leaning against it was wallpapered with a darker purple with sliver flowers, with cream stems pattern.
The beds were covered in a light purple duvet with matching pillows, and three silver cushions, placed delicately at the head.
Two light wooden doors were placed opposite the beds and I was dying to see what was inside, but for the moment I refrained from doing that and acted normal for once and carried of searching the room.
On the wall opposite from where we were standing at the door were two dazzling paintings of purple flowers in silver frames. Obviously someone in this house was into interior designing because everything was amazingly decorated!
Looking to the left of where we were standing, there was a large wooden dressing table ( matching the doors) with a massive mirror with several drawers and two cushioned seats tucked underneath.
The room was lit by a small glass chandelier hung from the cream painted ceiling.
This room was all me and Em had ever dreamed of and more and we were so excited, and clutched others hands and squeezed them, grinning widely at each other.
Purple was also mine and Em's favourite colour and we were just so overwhelmed with surprise at the room and also at how so far Chris and England was.
Chris chuckled at our astounded faces and said quietly,
"I'm guessing by the expressions on your faces that you like the rooms?"
We both nodded.
"Well that's good. My wife is an interior designer so she quickly put this together this afternoon, once I told her both of you were coming. It is nearing midnight so I will leave you girls to sleep. I know that you are still in your clothes, but it wont matter for one night. I will wake you up tomorrow after a lie in and you can get to meet the family!" He said very cheerfully taking in the fact it was almost morning!!
We were both shattered but even so we launched ourselves at him with our arms open, giving him a massive bear hug! We were so pleased at how nice it was here and we felt so welcomed!
After we ended our spontaneous hugs, we both said thank you and clamber into the beds. I went into the one farthest from the door and pulled the sheets up as it was freezing here in England!
Soon enough after we had said goodnight to Chrism we had both fallen into a deep sleep, dreaming of what England would be like in the morning.
Well I hope peeps like it!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
