Cocoa Pops!

We took a deep breath descended down the spiral staircase, me going first, Em following closely behind.

I was very nervous, especially about meeting the twins, but there was nothing I could do about the small butterfly's fluttering about in my stomach.

Before I knew it we were at the bottom  and we walked over to what we assumed was the door to the kitchen on the right hand side of the living room we had seen the previous night.

We cautiously opened the door and we both gingerly stepped into a bright and busy kitchen.

There were two boys, sitting with their backs to us, at a large island placed in the middle of the not surprisingly large kitchen.

A really beautiful woman with long, brown, wavy hair and big brown eyes was washing up at the sink, turning around and smiling brightly at us when we came in. She must be Maria.

A pretty young girl, who had obviously inherited her looks from her mother was sitting opposite her brothers eating from a bowl of cereal, while she was on her phone. We assumed that that must have been Molly.

Sitting next to Molly was Chris who was drinking a mug of tea and reading the newspaper.

"Morning girls." He said cheerfully.

"Morning," we both chorused back.

Obviously just realising we were behind them, the boys turned around.

Instantly you knew that they were twins. They had the same curly brown hair, the same hazel eyes and cheeky expressions on their faces.

"Boys say hello to Sophia and Katy, they will be staying here for a while.. Oh and be nice. We want them to have a good impression of you." Chris said, obviously expecting them to say something rude or cheeky.

"Hi, I'm Oliver, but call me Ollie and then that's James," He pointed at James sitting next to him.

"Hi," said James quietly. He was obviously the more quiet of the two.

"Hi, it's nice to meet you." I answered.

The more 'straight to the point' one of us being Em decided to ask the question which had also been bugging me.

"Sooo.... How do we tell you guys apart." she asked awkwardly.

"Well," started Ollie, "I'm obviously the best looking." he said confidently.

Me and Em both looked at each other our eyebrows raised.

"Really," I said, "Well, I think that James is the best looking actually." I said winking at James.

James' face was a picture. He looked so startled and also a bit worried.

After a few seconds, me and Em burst out laughing, having to hold ourselves up, then all of a sudden we both stopped laughing at the exact same time, and our faces went instantly straight and back to normal. What?? We had been best friends since I can remember!!

We looked back at James and Ollie, who were obviously a bit freaked out.

"Wow, how did you do that? We're twins and even our twin telepathy doesn't work like that. You stopped and started at exactly the same time!!" He blurted out.

Neither Em or I said anything until I decided to break the silence.

"No, but really. How do we tell you guys apart?" I asked.

"Well, I have a small scar above my left eyebrow but James doesn't," Ollie spoke up.

"Ok, thanks. So whenever I see you two then I have to check who has the scar? How did you get it anyways?" I asked curiously.

"Yeah and I got it playing football and someone trod on my face while they were wearing studs."

"Oooh, sounds painfull!" I replied grimacing.

"Anyways, I'm hungry, what's for breakfast?" Em typically asked.

Chris chuckled, "Well, you can have whatever really. We have the normal stuff, cereal, toast or whatever, and then you can make something like pancakes if we have the ingredients. Or you can just have what else you can find in the cupboards."

Em and I looked at each other and I knew that she would want cereal so without saying anything to Em, I turned to Chris.

"What cereal do you have?" I asked.

"Well you can just look in the cupboard over there," he said and pointed over to a bottom cupboard on the left hand side of the room.

Em and I both strolled over and I open the cupboard.

"Wow, you guys have a lot of cereal!" Em gasped at the array of different cereals.

We stared at the twenty or so multi-coloured boxes of cereal, until I spotted them. Mine and Em's favourite cereal of all time.

"Cocoa Pops!!!" Em and I shouted at the same time.

I know it may sound like an ordinary type of cereal but ever since we became friends when we were 5 years old, our favourite cereal had always been cocoa pops.

After we pulled the yellow coloured box out of the cupboard, we found that Maria had set us up two places at the island, me next to James and Em opposite me next to Chris.

I smiled cheerfully at James who smiled back.

Em filled her bowl with cereal and then passed the box to me. I did the same and then we started shovelling the chocolaty goodness into our mouths.

Soon the kitchen was silent apart from the sound of Em and I's munching. It was not an awkward silence though because everyone was doing something.

Maria was still washing up, the twins were having a thumb was and Molly was know on her phone.

After we had finished, I decided to speak to Molly.

"Soo, Molly. What do you do for a hobbie?"

Molly looked up at me and smiled gingerly, she looked shy, just like James.

"Well, I like running, swimming, cycling, rounders, hockey and netball." she answered nervously.

"Oh wow, you're very sporty then!! Well I love running as well so maybe we could go out for a run some time then?" I asked hopefully. Em being lazy, didn't like running so most of the time I had to go out on my own.

"Yeah sure, that would me nice, the twins will never go with me."

"Hey, sometimes we do, but you just nag us all the time to keep up." Ollie retorted.

"Yeah, you're just to slow and lazy." I could see her more louder and cheekier side come out.

Maria turned around and smiled, "Finished then girlies? Well, I was thinking that now that you've finished that the boys could walk you around the grounds and then area and then I will drop you off with them in town and then they came take you on a tour around. Does that sound ok?" she asked.

"Yeah that's sounds great. We'll just go and get our phones then. Be back down in a few minutes." Em replied obviously excited.

With that, we hopped of the high stools in the kitchen and headed back upstairs to get ready.

I picture the twins as Jai and Luke Brooks from the Janoskians, just without any piercings or tattoos, Em as Bella Thorne, Sophia as Ciara Bravo and Molly as Isabelle Fuhrman. These are just who I picture them as so you can just imagine them as whoever you want.

I would love it if people commented so that I know whether you like it and  any constructive criticism so that I know what I should do to make it better.
