One Letter Away

Chapter 12

(Jane's Truck!!)

(Daniel's P.O.V)

I was sitting in my parents living room, thinking about Jane and how it felt when she was in my arms. I keep thinking back to what she told me, and she's right. I shouldn't live in the past, I should live in the present and look forward to my future.

I really didn't want her to go home yesterday. I liked her being with me.

I noticed a truck pull into the driveway and I noticed that it was Jane's. I wonder why she's here.

I hear my mom open the door and greet her, then tell her where I was.

She came into the living room and that's when I noticed her lip was busted and her nose was red and swollen.

I don't know how, or what came over me, I just reacted to her saying, "Jane, who the hell touched you?"

"It's nothing Daniel, anyways, how are you?" She asked brushing it off.

"Not good seeing as someone harmed you, now I will ask one last time before I go on a man- hunt."

"A burglar got into my house, and beat the living shit out of me, Daniel. I don't know why he ran off. But I'm okay, my face is just a little sore."

"Come here." I say and I pull her into a hug, "I'm glad your safe."

"Me too." She say's and pulls back from me.

I looked at her as sh pulled back, and I couldn't stop my hand from brushing her cheek. When she leaned into it, I almost lost it, and pulled her in for a kiss.

She looked at me and smiled a dazzling smile. And that is when I remembered, since I seem to be healing faster than the doctor intended, I might have to be deployed soon.

"You okay? You seem like you have something on your mind."

"I'm fine, just worried about your safety."

"I'll be fine Daniel." She said.

I pulled her in, and we cuddled and watched movies for the meantime.

Hey y'all. So this is a little longer of and update, and I hope you guys have enjoyed.

This week has been utter shit, for lack of better terms.

I was at the hospital the other day for attempted suicide, but then I talked t someone, and he made me realize that you have a lot to live for.

So, I am doing a double update today because I can, and if I don't I might cry again.
