Later on, skipping 1st Grade, when I was 7, I began 2nd grade. My teacher that year was Mr. Sokolawski. I forgot how to spell his name, but he was my favorite teacher out of all the teachers I had at that school. His class was fun and he wasn't mean at all. I think he liked comics because he had a lot that he would let us read, and that was kind of the theme of his room. He had little reading cubbies too, with bean bags and such. Many activities to do in there. I remember this one time he let us sit out side to look at the rain. We were sheltered by the hangover part of the roof of the building. There were multiple buildings. For example, the library was a whole different building therefore you would have to walk to it. And each grade level was separated by buildings as well. So when you step outside of your classroom, you would be outside. That grade was when I met my best friend Trevor. He was funny and didn't have a very advanced vernacular, he was only in 2nd Grade after all. But I always corrected him. I would walk over to his house all the time. It was only like 1 minute away. I would usually walk over there to his house, and his mom would be smoking in her garage. (The garage was always open) She was smoking every single time I went up to the driveway to ask if I could go in. And this is NO JOKE: she would have TRASH BAGS full of smoked cigarettes. I belive she had at least 3 leaning against her lawn chair that she would sit on and smoke in her garage. Her name was Viola and she wasn't the nicest of people. She would always yell at Trevor. I don't know if it was just what I thought when I was little, but she was kind of strict. Trevor and I would do stuff like ride a mattress down his stairs or ride sleeping bags down his stairs. We weren't as hyper as most 7 year olds but we were okay. I usually liked to stay the night at his house and eat dinner over there. I remember pulling out a mattress and making a bed on that, and dragging his very small box Cars TV downstairs, putting it next to the bed, and watching movies on it. I think the only movie we ever watched on it was Scooby-Doo Monsters Unleashed on DVD. Thats basically all we ever did together. Just hung out. When we hung out with my sister, we would likely also hang out with her best friend, Lorrenna who is also Trevor's next-door neighbor. Her and my sister are still best friends today, and my mom is good friends with her mom. Us four would just hang out in the streets and ride our bikes and stuff. There were also other kids in the neighborhood too. There were these teenagers (about 16/17) who had lots of pets; Kathrin and Dolton, this brother and sister who were Morgans age; Carly and Luke, this other girl who was about my age; Carrie, and these three siblings; about 15 year old girl Kendall, my age boy Derek, and an about 5 year old boy who's name I can't remember. We all knew each other well. I won't go into detail about what we did and such because this Part is getting very long. I will talk more about this year in the next Part...
