I opened the box and saw a variety of stuffs. I saw old photos and a silver necklace. It was from my childhood friend, Woodie.
I didn't really know his real and full name, it's just a nickname I gave him. The only thing I remember was we were really good friends. We did lots of things together. We played games, told stories and even exchanged letters. We were only six years old. I used to live in my granny's when I was four until eight years old. Woodie was my neighbour. We loved playing hide and seek. That was our favourite game. One thing is, he sucked at hiding, so he always had to be the it. And he's also a really fast runner. I could remember, we would make a castle out of pillows and pretend to be kings and queens. He would be the king, and I would be the queen.
Not until he moved to Canada. It broke my heart when I found out that my best friend was leaving me. I was only seven, but I felt love. I know it may sound like rubbish, but I'm actually wondering how he's doing now.
He called me Al, he reckons that Alessia is a really long name. There were lots of photos of us. There was a torn photo. He tore the photo and gave me his side of the photo and kept my side of it. He gave me a silver necklace with an angel pendant. "You are much beautiful than an angel." I could still remember him saying that to me.
Before he left to Canada for good, he promised me," I will come back Al, I'll be back. Don't ever forget me. You'll always be my best friend. I promise, when I come back, I'll give you a million hugs. I'll miss you." It's been 12 years, but he's still not back. I'll be honest, I miss him too.
