Esther, or Esty, Bridger stood at her tower staring at the desolate city of Lothal. It wasn't always like this but actually thrived in a beautiful way, until the Empire came and destroyed everything beautiful within it. She sighed with her long blue hair flowing against the small wind and eyed that city with sadness in her electric blue eyes. Suddenly a shadow overpowered the sun making Esther look up in fear and saw a Star Destroyer above her tower and moving slowly towards Lothal.
She backed up against her tower door and looked at that Destroyer with a bit of anger in her eyes before pulling up her hood and scarf and making her way down her tower towards her speeder and headed off to Lothal for a personal mission. Once she made it there, she parked it right outside Lothal city and made sure it was well hidden, so that nobody would find it and steal it, before heading into the city to see what she could accomplish for this mission. As she made her way through the city, Esther quickly heard some voices to her left and looked a little to see an old Lothal citizen trying to sell yogans but was being interrogated harshly for his identification by the imperial officers.
Anger flooded through her veins as she saw the citizen being picked up by the stormtroopers and about to be carried away underneath the charge of treason. He must've said something that really ticked them off, she thought smugly to herself before pulling her scarf down and heading to the yogan bag, that the bulky imperial officer was holding, with her head down.
"Excuse me good sir, but a spare yogan please?" she asked in a nice and childish tone to sell the homeless orphan façade.
"Move along! Lothrat!" the bulky officer ordered making Esther fake shiver in fright because she certainly faced worse than this.
"Sorry, sorry. Not looking for trouble," she said in a fake shaky voice as she fake scrambled herself past the skinny imperial officer and secretly stole his com link before disappearing quickly from their eyes.
"But trouble has often found me and them," Esther said to herself in a proud manner holding up the com link in a dark corner to where no one could see her.
She cleared her voice and turned on the com link before saying, in a fake deep voice that she had years of practice doing, "All officers to the main square unit. This is a code red."
Turning the com link off for a few minutes, Esther peered out of her hiding spot to see the stormtroopers throw the citizen down, along with his yogan bag, before running out and leaving to the 'code red emergency'. She came out from her hiding spot and approached the downed citizen while saying, in the same deep voice, "Stay on alert. Repeat, this is a code red."
"Thank you," the citizen said gratefully while giving her one of his yogans as thanks.
Esther gladly took it and stowed it away in her pack before helping the citizen up and helping him out with his bags. She then told the citizen that if he ever wanted to sell the yogans without imperial officials on his tail then he could head out to the western market on Lothal because the imperial officials barely pay attention to what goes on in that place. The citizen nodded his head in thanks and gave her another before she left him to his business to see how her masterpiece worked.
Once she reached the main square, Esther looked over to see the imperials talking about the 'code red emergency' but saved themselves by ordering the imperial to load the important crates to the checkpoint or something. "I almost feel bad for those guys, but as usual its almost," she muttered to herself softly while taking a bite out of her yogan.
She looked down at herself and pulled a lock of her bright blue hair back behind her eyes towards its braid where it should be with the hood holding the braid inside to make sure no one knew about herself. Along with the black hood, and scarf, she wore a dark orange shirt with a dark brown sash over it, hiding her special guns that could pack a punch, a slitted dark orange skirt that came down to her thighs to allow her to kick butt more easily in combat, dark orange pants underneath, and black knee high combat boots with a couple more guns within them. She also had a utility belt on her waist with two medium sized guns that can easily be set to stun or shoot, a special knife her father gave her, and a special weapon hidden within her pack.
Suddenly, she felt a weird feeling that told her to look up. Comply to its demands, because it never failed her before to help her get out of serious situations, Esther looked towards her right, while standing up, and saw a man standing in the middle of the streets about twenty feet away from her building with his back facing her. She could see that he was a fighter due to his green armor, and wore his hair into a ponytail, along with his blaster and black combat boots but he also wore a light green shirt, blue jeans, and light grey gloves. Esther could not understand what this feeling was telling her but quickly ducked as she saw the man about to turn around.
Waiting for a few seconds, Esther just breathed in and out before looking slightly up again and saw the man moving onto something else. She was about to see what he was about to do when she had this feeling telling her to move. Quickly, she jumped to her right as a shot was fired at the spot she had been at. Turning around, Esther could see that it was an old friend of hers. "Ah, Jelscope. Lovely to see you again. Heard you got promoted, good for you. You should be promoted to stupidity due to your idiotic shooting that couldn't even hit me in the head," she said in a mocking tone with a hint of smugness.
"Shut up you Lothrat and surrender!" Jelscope snarled as he held his bounty hunter gun up to shoot her.
"Hmm, how about....no?" Esther said sweetly before taking out her own gun and blasting his gun out of his hands.
She smirked before pulling up her scarf and ran off to the next roof to lose him. Jelscope was an old friend of Esther's before something happened years ago that made them become enemies for life and Esther has held a grudge against him ever since. Esther kept running as she passed along two rooftops and stopped as she saw the third roof was a farther jump than the second one. Hearing a pair of footsteps running to her and getting closer, she made up her mind and jumped into the alleyway in between the rooftops and landed carefully on her feet but felt pain shoot up her left ankle.
Resolving to save that aside, she began to run through the alleyway until she came up to the edge of the city and began riding her speeder back to her tower to hide and tend to her injuries there. Suddenly a shot was fired and the speeder took the hit making Esther be thrown off of it and land onto the grass. When she got up, she saw that the speeder was no more with than just being burned right now.
Hearing a tie fighter heading her way, Esther tried to make a run for it only to cry out in pain as she put some weight on her left foot. She fell to the ground and waited for the blasts to hit her when something else shot at it before a ship landed nearby her. Crying out tears of pain, Esther pulled herself into a sitting position and looked up to see the ship hovering a few inches in the air from her with the man from before standing on its ramp. "Need a ride?" he asked politely.
Looking past the ship, Esther saw more ties coming and had no other option. She got up and limped her way over to the ship and was able to get on with help from the man. He helped set her down on one of the crates from before as the ship began to move to lose the tie fighters. Breathing in and out deeply to get past the pain, Esther pulled her left foot up and touched it a bit before hissing in pain and pulling it away quickly. "Looks to be about sprained. Shouldn't take long to heal," the man said after observing her.
"Why did we even pick up this kid? He's gonna be nothing but trouble for us," a deep voice said that made Esther turn to see an alien that she never seen before with purple markings, green military clothes, a few patches of violet hair here and there, and bright full green eyes with a black small circle for his iris.
(snorts) "If he wanted to Zeb, he can't. The kids already injured, remember?" another male voice said in a sassy attitude making Esther look to the alien's/Zeb's right to see a guy in colorful Mandalorien armor with a colorful Mandalorien helmet, two blasters, and paint splattered gloves and boots.
"Shut it, the kid might cause trouble even if injured," Zeb said in a grumbling voice.
"Uhh, I'm right here ya know?" Esther asked in a sassy tone making them all jump and stare at her in shock.
She rolled her eyes at their little display and sighed. (Snorts) "Bet this isn't a first time you met a person who can kick butt against the Empire," she remarked sassily behind her hood.
"Never mind that, Spector 4 and Spector 5 keep an eye on our guest here," the man said in a commanding tone before climbing up the ladder and leaving them alone in silence.
