Ch.10 (trust)

As Judy drives down the all to familiar road she speeds up, unable to contain her excitement to see her family since she left. As nick roles down his window slowly regretting the fact that he had to meet her parents. Already knowing that Judy's father already wasn't a fan of foxes,but still wanting to make Judy happy. "Nick your going to love it!!! My mom is going to love you and my aunt Tracy aunt jacky aunt moire aunt Julia and"
Nick was lost in thought, still not feeling comfortable coming to something that was for Judy. She just went on and on about all her brothers and sisters and cousins and aunts and uncles. Nearly two thousand family members. Some were unable to make the trip due to some health problems or just cause the live to far.
"Nick are you listening?" His train of thought was stopped by Judy. "Hm?!? Ya no I'm here I'm listening, I'm just..... A little nervous" nick looked back to the window.
With in minutes they came up to the house. Behind it was a large barn and with several cars parked right in front of it. To the side was a large field with what most likely would be carrots. As they parked the car, not even ten seconds Judy spotted a familiar face. Gideon Judy's old friend parking by. "Gideon!!!" Judy shouts as she jumps out of the car and hugs the large chubby fox holding pies. "What are you doing here?" Nick steps out getting closer and closer.
Judy's POV:
I didn't expect Gideon to be here, if her was here then I guess nick would feel more comfortable. I feel a hand on my shoulder. "Hey bea,aren't you going to introduce me?" Nick said in a sarcastic tone. I got off Gideon only to see a look of confusion on his face. "Bea?" I felt my cheeks burn up. I stepped in between them both. " nick this is Gideon my old friend and Gideon this is nick my partner in ZPD .....and my mate"
I saw Gideon's face go in to shock as soon as I said mate. "Well..... It's nice to meet you nick"

As nick took Gideon's hand Judy spotted someone she has been waiting to see. Judy sprinted words the front porch jumping in to the arms of her loving mother. "Judy my sweet heart it's wonderful to see you again." Nick made his way to the front porch. "Hello miss hopps it's nice to finally meet you" nick pulled his hand out. "Oh sweetie call me Bonnie" she said as she gave nick a hug. "Come on in, every one else is at the barn"
As they made there way to the back of the barn all eyes were on Judy. From left to right Judy's brothers and sister young and old came to see her. Soon Judy's father came to see his sweet little bunny grow up. Then the barn went silent, as all eyes were on nick. Stu gaze drew dark as he kept his eyes on nick.The little ones didn't seem to fear nick. As others kept there distance from nick,some came to talk and even after a while even Gideon started to talk to nick.
Soon the sun started to fall and dinner would be served soon. The kids were set in to another room for dinner. As dinner went on, some of Judy's brothers and sister sent on and on of how they met there mate. Some found each other on the ranch as for others some met there mate over vacation or Internet dating. "What about you Judy? How did you and nick meet"
The room went quiet as nick and Judy looked at each other."you want me to start it off or you want first shots" Judy turned to her family as she told them about nick and how he tricked her in to buying an elephant size Popsicle for nick and how she tracked them down. How she forced nick to help her track down the missing animal from zootopia. How they nearly lost there lives over and over from falling,drowning when they flushed themselves down a toilet to tricking bellwether in to confessing her crimes to turn all the predators in to savage animals. How the storm trashed nick home and how they were living together. Then they tell of there encounter with a bomber and how nick stopped him.By the end of there story everyone was at the edge of there seats.
All but stu were impressed by nicks actions. Gideon came out with steaming hot pies. As the pie went around su made his way out the barn. Judy nudged at nicks ribs pointing at her father.
Nick followed stu out the barn and to an old tree.

Nicks POV:
Judy had convinced me to go talk to her father, and to be honest I wanted to talk to him too. I wanted him to like me like all the others. Judy's mom loved me and so did the rest of her family. Not only that but I wanted him to like me so that I could ask for his blessing one day. I made my way to him.
Sir I know you and I don't meet eye to eye but I hope that we can at least....
"Shut the hell up you stupid fox" he turned to me me with a look of hate. Not just like mild discomfort but with pure hatred in his eyes. I shook it off and tried to again.
Sir please, I love your daughter with all my hear and I want to be with her for the rest of my life, I want for us to.....
"I told you to shut the hell up!!!!!" He shouted to the top of his voice. At this point others started to make there way out. Including Judy and her mother. "You think I'm just going to let you right in to the family?? You stupid fox. Your nothing more then an animal that needs to be put down!! You say you want to be with my daughter but can you even provide for her?!?" Can you!!!" I felt my blood start to boil. I clenched my fist trying my dame near hardest not to punch his lights out.
It wasn't until Judy stepped between us . "Dad that's enough!!! What is wrong with you. I know you don't like nick but at the vary least you could do is give him a chance. You gave Gideon a chance didn't you??"
Judy's POV:
I looked my father right in the eyes. "Like hell!! I don't trust Gideon in the slightest. The only reason I gave him a chance is because we needed his advertising. I trust that fox as much as the dirt under my foot."
I felt my chest burn just wanting to yell at him even more. " why him Judy why??? He can't help you. He can't even provide for you!!"
I don't need him to, I can provide for my self and he makes me happy,why can't you just be happy that I'm happy. "He can't make you happy Judy!!! What if you want a house to live in one day. What if you want a brand new car? " he means more to me then a house or a car!!
"What about a child!!!! He can't give you that now can he?!?!" I felt my heart stop, the whispers that were in the crowded stopped as soon as the words left his lips. I felt the tears build up. This bunny can't be my father, he just can't. I ran pass the crude and back to the car.
Nick soon came in to the driver side of the car and took my hand. Just him being here now made me feel a little better. As he started the car I fell asleep.

Nick pulled up to there apartment with bags under his eyes. As the clouds rolled in and the sky grew darker they made there way to bed. As Judy tries to sleep she hears sobbing from the living room. She heads out to see nick siting in the dark crying on the sofa. "Nick??? Nick watts wrong" Judy gets closer and closer. She sets herself next to nick. "I'm so sorry I'm so sorry....I'm sorry" Judy takes nick hand in to hers. " sorry for what??" Nick looked up to Judy with blood shot eyes. " I'm sorry I can't give you a family" nick said as he rested his head on Judy's shoulder. Judy felt the tears build up. "Your all the family I need." She said as she held nick in her arms.
