Well, this is just great. Here Gaige was: lying down on the dirty and rather foul smelling leather cushion seat of a train, in the middle of one of the many Pandoran deserts, not knowing where she was going, but that wasn't the worst of it oh no. The worst part of it all was she was on a train going nowhere with HIM!

She glanced up at the tall, almost stick figure- like...thing that was too busy examining its sword to return it's own glare. After a few minutes of watching her baby sitter ogle and stare at his toy, Gaige stood up and started to wander the filthy train car. Hoping there would be something, anything, that could entertain her for the time being.

Zero looked up at the shuffling and squeaking of shoes on semi-New metal. To his amusement, the mechromancer was stomping all around the car looking for a way to entertain herself. He let out a snort under his breath and put his sword
In it's holster, and he himself rose to his feet as well. He knew bandits some times reside in the other cars. So he wasn't too worried about his own entertainment.

The teenager instantly spun around to face the door of the train car, shotgun loaded and aimed at the entrance before lowering it .

"Hey!" was enough to get the assassin's attention. "Where the hell are you going!"

He shrugged and put another foot out the door, replying with a simple "fun" before slamming the door shut, and leaving a hologram so he could slip away. He was Chuckling as he heard the furious screams and roars of the teenager as she pounded her mechanical fist into the heavy door she had been shut in.

"You're supposed to watch me you jackass!" Gaige shouted before giving the train car's door one final slam of her fist, forgetting she only had ONE mechanical arm. She fell back and clutched her throbbing hand. Upon touching her real hand the mechromancer let an endless line of curses escape her lips as pain skyrocketed across her whole arm. She lied in a ball on the floor for a few minutes and held onto her quickly swelling hand. Pushing past the pain, Gaige slowly rose herself to a sitting position, inspecting the train car's metal door, a metal door with multiple fresh dents dotting the entry way.

Finding the strength to finally stand up, the anarchist only took a seat on the filthy leather chair and watched the doorway. Waiting for Zero to show himself again. It must have been half an hour before he finally heard the door open to reveal the masked Vault Hunter, nearly covered head to toe in blood, and a shiny new rifle to his name. She glared at him, by now her swelling red hand had turned into a collogue of sickly blues and blacks. Immediately Gaige stood up to look at the Assassin and raised her mechanical arm to throw a punch at what she could only assume was his jaw.

If it had been anyone else then they would have been sent a few miles back by the blow, but luckily for Zero he had easily dodged the blast of the teenager's rage by a hair as he ducked under her fist.

"You're supposed to watch me, aren't you, You jerk!" she yells as she tries to shove him to no avail. "Where did you even go all this time?" He nodded his head to the car in front of him and folded his arms.

"Front of train." was his simple reply to her. Her response was an irritated grunt. She despised this asshole so much, but this asshole wouldn't be her only problem in a few seconds as the train came to a sudden halt.

"Attention stupid-heads!" came a loud, nasally voice from the intercom. "Hands in the air and we'll only kill you and eat your babies!"

Then they heard the heavily nasal voice let out a yelp as a much deeper and gruff broke the silence. "Alright, Vault Hunters." it spoke "This is a raid, lay down your weapons or we'll make you put em down. When you're nothing but pieces."

The two of them looked out the Windows of the train car, they had stopped at a run-down train yard, but it wasn't the scenery that caught their eyes then. It was rocket-launcher toting bandits on each side of them that did.

"Ah shit" were the only words that escaped Gaige's lips.

And so ends the 2nd chapter of "The Girl and The Ghost". I'm sorry it took so long to update this story, too much has been going on lately, but I'm gonna try to post regularly for now on. That, and I've been thinking of doing a Fallout and a Mass Effect: Andromeda story. So please, if y'all have any suggestions or feedback I'd love to hear it.
Thank you once again for reading my story.
