Chapter 8

{Vera's P.O.V}

Slam!

Turning quickly I see the door has been shut as I race over finding it locked when I try to open it. holding my head in my hands I race through my head thinking How did I end up here? Thinking back to my life in heaven to the attack. From the demon that kidnaped me to Vassago. Something about him was off. I wasn't afraid of him. Not how I should be at least. He's the prince of hell yet he just seems bothered and tired. Suddenly I heard the door creak open. I twirled around to see Jane, holding what looks to be black clothing.

"If you would put this on."

She holds them out to me and I take them, look them over. it was a red slimming dress that was velvet. I look up at her.

"Do you have anything...white?"

She tilted her head confused. 

"No miss, I'm sorry but we don't have anything white. The brightest thing we have is Blue-Gray and teal"

I nod and lay the dress down sighing. I slowly I took my cloaths hugging my chest embarrass. Vanessa took the dress and helped me into it, tieing the front and fixing the long sleeves so the back lace was set right. She sat me down in a small gray chair, putting my hair up in pin-up curls letting some loose hair fall down the sides of my face. She came in front of me and did my make-up, which was anything but natural. Black lipstick, black eyeliner, maroon eyeshadow, even mascara. When she was finished she stood me up and took me to a full-length mirror. As I looked in, I didn't see anyone I knew. This person was dark, beautiful, and definitely not lonely. I looked back at her and she gave me a slight smile.

"Come with me."

Walking behind her I kept my expression blank trying to keep good posture. as we walked down the hall the sounds of yelling and arguing came from a door Jane had stopped in front of. She looked back at me and grabbed the handle. I nodded to her taking a deep breath and the door swung open and silence followed after
