no I'm gay in general.
Now you're just talking to yourself.
I walked through the halls near my next class. It wasn't long before the bell rang.
Jaime ran up to me, this was our music theory class.
"Dude where were you at lunch?" he asked giving me a friendly punch in the arm.
"I felt sick so I ran home to get some Tylenol." That is the lamest excuse ever made.
"Oh. Well I hope you feel better. I heard Mr. Iero has quite the assignment for us."
"What do you mean?" I asked
"You'll see." He answered while dragging me into the class room.
We sat down and turned to the board. I actually really enjoyed this class. I loved music, and had a really cliche dream to be in a band someday. Luckily so did my actual band. Jaime, Tony, my brother mike, and I we're in a band. We decided on the name pierce the veil thanks to a science philosophy lesson. I had written and put together a few songs, but no one had ever heard them.
Mr. Iero walked to the front of the class.
"Class, I have some very special news for you. The school has been nominated to compete in the arts festival. This means that all of you will come up with an act, a song, a documentary, whatever your art is. You will then compete with not just the school, or the district, but the whole state of Cali-Forn-I-A."
The class began to cheer. This was pretty awesome, but also very intimidating. California was a big state, with a lot of talented people.
"Oh that's not all kids. I have a challenge for you myself. I want you to find people outside of this class, kids who haven't gotten the chance to shine, I want you guys to help them shine. It can be anyone, just make sure they consent."
Fuck. I thought this was a good time to get the band going, but now it looks like we need another member. Who would do it?
Then I remembered.

Small spoiler alert. I'm gonna put Melanie Martinez as a character in this book, just wanted to let people know so they're not so surprised because I've never really seen Melanie in a kellic fanfic before. Anyways....her character will be popping up soon. <3
