BLAIRE HOPE could tell that winter was definitely coming. Besides the fact that snow covered the plains of Hogwarts and that it was freezing cold temperatures-winter was just around the corner. Blaire saw that Harry was more or less distanced with Hermione and Ron. The brunette could tell something was bothering him, she didn't know why she seemed to care so much, but she just did. Like it was her destiny to be there for Harry, whether or not she liked it.Times, she would just follow Harry, just to make sure he wasn't getting himself into trouble.

Regardless, Harry has gotten himself in a lot more detentions with Professor Umbridge, along with Blaire. To Blaire's shock and knowledge, she understood why Harry always hid his hand. The words 'I must not tell lies', was scarred on his flesh forever. Along with the words, 'I must not disrespect my professor', on Blaire's back hand. McGonagall had found out about these medieval ways of punishing students, and she went totally berserk.

Professor Umbridge was taking over the school. The walls were plastered with Ministry degrees, providing ridiculous laws, making Hogwarts an intense Military boot camp. Blaire stood, watching a crowded hallway of students, looking up at the hundreds of laws. She didn't want to stand for this. She repeatedly asked Harry to do something, but he was too preoccupied with his own The Boy Who Lived problems, to actually pay attention to what was happening at Hogwarts.

The brunette witch even watched one of her favorite, yet non-favorite professors, get sacked: Professor Trelawney. She watched the professor tremble and shake of pure fear, and saddness as Umbridge towered over her, giving her, her fate.

After that scene, Blaire was for once starting to feel discouraged. Discouraged that Hogwarts was on the rocks, with Umbridge around to make everyone lives a living nightmare.

Blaire Hoped frowned her eyebrows, as she watched Harry enter into the Forbidden forest. She wondered what he was doing in the forest. The brunette moved from behind the tree, to where Harry stood with Luna Lovegood.

"Hello, Harry Potter and Blaire Hope," Luna greeted.

Harry glanced at Luna with a curiously look. "Your feet. Aren't they cold?"

"Bit. Unfortunately, all my shoes have mysteriously disappeared," Luna dazzled, "I suspect Nargles."

Blaire gave the girl a weird look, "What the bloody hell are Nargles?" Harry sent her a look.

"What are they?" Harry asked.

"They're called Thestrals," Blaire answered. "They're quite gentle, really, but people avoid them because they're a bit different," Luna went on.

"But, why can't others see them?" Harry asked, still looking at the horse like creature.

"They can only be seen by people who've seen death," Blaire flatly stated, looking up into the cloudy, gray skies.

"So you've known someone who died, then?" Harry faintly asked.

"My mum. She was a muggle, but dad loved her anyway. She was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 5, and she died 3 years later. She always wanted to see me get my acceptance letter to Hogwarts," Blaire weakly smiled, as a tear escaped her eye. She wiped it quickly before the two of them could see.

"I'm sorry," Harry sincerely expressed, which earned a shrug from the brunette. Luna watched with a small smile, as she watch the two's sincere moment.

"My dad and I both believe you, by the way. That He-Who-Should-Not-Be-Named is back, and you fought him. And the Ministry and The Prophet are conspiring against you," Luna said, as she stroked the Thestral.

"Thanks. It seems like you're the only ones that do."

"That's not true, Potter," the brunette quietly said.

"What's that supposed to mean, Hope?" Harry interjected.

"What I mean is, that Loony and her father, aren't the only ones that support you," Blaire snapped, "No offense, Lovegood," realizing that she called Luna 'Loony.'

"I agree with Blaire, I don't think that's true. But I suppose that's how he wants you to feel," Luna added in, before Harry had a chance to respond to Blaire.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, if I were you You-Know-Who, I'd want you to feel cut off from everyone else, because if it's just you alone, you're not as much of a threat," Luna explained.

Harry really took in the words, she was right. Harry needed his friends with him, instead of pushing them away. Blaire and Harry made their ways back to the castle, when Blaire stopped. Harry turned back around, glancing at the girl.

"You know, Lovegood's right."

Harry sighed, looking over at the forest, "Yeah, I know."

Blaire stood beside him, looking at him, "Why are you suddenly distance from Granger and Weasley. You three are like the infamous Golden Trio."

Harry chuckled briefly, before his face went stone cold. "You don't trust me do you?" Blaire asked suddenly.

"It's not that-"

"It's that I'm a Slytherin, right?" Blaire cut Harry off, knowing what he was going to say.

Harry remained silent, looking very awkward and uncomfortable. Blaire scoffed, shaking her head before she walked into the castle.

"Hope!" Harry shouted after her, "I'm such a bloody wanker," Harry grumbled to himself, as he walked into the castle as well.
