(Briar's POV)
Once we were back at the farmhouse April lead me to the bathroom upstairs "So why'd you start a mud war with Mikey anyway?" April asked curiously "I don't know. I just thought it would be a lot more fun than sparing" I said honestly as she opened the bathroom door "Well here's the bathroom. You know how to use the shower right?" She asked "I think I can figure it out on my own" I said with a smile while she sat down some towels on the the bathroom counter "Ok, well I'll leave you to shower now" she said with a small smile as she left the room, closing the door behind me. I quickly stripped off my mud soaked clothes and walked over to the decently sized shower. I moved the curtain slightly and turned the little nob until the water was warm enough. Once it was I stepped in the shower. I quickly melted into the feeling of the warm water on my skin and picked up a bottle of shampoo and started to scrub the soap into my hair. After minutes of constantly scrubbing my hair I washed the soap out of my hair that was once again it's regular blonde colour. I then grabbed another type of soap and started to scrub at my face and body, which also took a few minutes in order to completely remove the mud and grime from my pale skin. Once I was finished I turned off the shower and got out of the shower. Once out I walked over to the small counter top and took the longest towel and wrapped it around my body, and the i used the other towel to dry my hair a bit. Once I was done I put the one towel into the hamper in the room and started heading over to my room. Once I was inside I noticed that April had laid out some clothes for me. I quickly closed my door and removed my towel. There was a beautiful blue and white top, white shorts, blue flats, white bra, and a matching white pair of panties. I quickly slipped everything on and then went back over to my vanity for the second time today. I quickly did my makeup and then messily pinned some of the hair out of my face. Once I was done I went downstairs and out the door. I didn't really feel like talking to anyone at the moment. After a few minutes of walking I was at the barn entrance. I slowly opened the door to see a very sad looking Donnie slowly pacing back and forth "You ok Don?" I asked softly as I walked inside, shutting the barn door behind me "Yeah I'm fine" he said, making a very fake smile "Don't lie." I said plainly as I walked closer to him "I don't want to talk about it" he said softly "Well then if your not going to tell me what's wrong than I'll try and make you happier nonetheless." I said with a cheeky smile as I went over to the small stereo and turned it on only to hear a song that I kinda recognized. I think it was called Immortals. The moment the music turned on I ran over to Donnie and grabbed him hands and started to sing and dance around like a weirdo "WE COULD BE IMMORTALS!" I yelled out causing Donnie to laugh loudly as he started to dance along with me "BUT NOT FOR LONG, FOR LONG!" We yelled together. Just seconds after the song had finally ended we started crying out with laughter, so much so to the point that we ended up laying on the floor trying to catch our breath. "Th-that was actually a lot of fun. Thank you Briar" Donnie said once he was done laughing "Did you really think I'd just leave you there looking like a very sad and lost puppy?" I asked "Yeah I did. I kinda figured that your social skills wouldn't be good enough to know how to cheer people up" he said honestly "Well I did grow up with a dad and three siblings so my social skills aren't to shabby" I said with a small laugh. Donnie slowly arose from the ground and helped me up "What time is it?" I asked him as he went over to his small clock "8:30pm" he said "Do you think dinner should be ready by now?" I asked him as my stomach growled slightly "Yes, but I want to give you something first" he said as he walked back over to his desk to grab something "I found this while we were training and I want you to have it" he said with a soft smile as he opened his hand to reveal a necklace in the centre of his palm. (Necklace in picture above) "Are you sure you want me to have it?" I asked quietly, feeling kinda touched that he wanted to give it to me even though he doesn't know me very well "I'm sure. Would you like me to put it on you?" He asked shyly "Yes please" I said with a smile as he clipped the necklace around my neck "Thank you" I said with a big smile "It's no problem really. C'mon let's go get to dinner before Mikey eats it all" he said with a small laugh as we ran back over to the farmhouse. Once inside we immediately went to the kitchen to see everyone just starting to sit down. Me and Donnie quickly sat down at the last two seats that just so happened to be in between Leo and Casey. Luckily I got to be beside Leo. "Where were you guys?" Leo asked, a small hint of jealousy residing in his normally calm voice "Just in the barn. Donnie was telling me about some of his old inventions" I said with a smile as Donnie gave me a look as if he was saying thank you to me for not telling everyone he was upset. "Oh that's cool" Leo replied "Wait, he didn't bore you to death with his nerd talk?!" Casey yelled out as he took a bite from the spaghetti that was on his plate "Not at all. I actually found it quite interesting" I said with a smile as I stuffed some of my food into my mouth "So, Briar, what are you planning on doing once we go back to New York?" Raph asked suddenly, catching me off guard "I'll probably either stay here or go back to my home in the woods" I said quickly "Why don't you come with us?" April asked "I-I don't know... You all are wonderful people but I can't just leave, my dad would have been so against the idea.." I said softly as I quickly went back to eating "Will you put the idea into consideration?" Leo asked as he placed a three fingered hand on my shoulder "I'll sleep on it" I said with a small smile "Thank you" he said softly and we all went back to eating.
~Time Skip~
Once we were all done eating we placed our dishes into the sink "So who's cleaning up tonight?" April asked "It's my turn" Leo said with a look of disgust on his face "I'll do it" I said with a small smile "WHAT?!" Everyone yelled out, making it clear that this definitely wasn't a chore that anyone enjoyed "It's the least I can do, so don't worry about it, it'll only take me about ten minutes anyway" I said with a smile "Ok.." Raph said hesitantly as everyone except Leo left the room "Your a good liar, but not good enough" Leo saId sternly "I don't know what your talking about" I said calmly as I walked over to the sink and started washing the dishes "Yes you do. What really happened in the barn with you and Donnie" Leo almost demanded "Look, Don was upset so I blasted some music and danced with him to make him feel better. I didn't want to embarrass him in front of everyone. Besides it was his own business, if he wanted you guys to know he would have said something" I explained as I finally finished the dishes "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to bed" I said. As I was about to exit the room Leo grabbed my hand gently "Wait, I'm sorry for being so nosey, I just wanted to make sure that there wasn't anything I should know about" he said softly "I get that you were just being concerned but Donnie's a big boy, he'll ask for help or tell you what's wrong when he wants to" I said "I know, goodnight Briar" he spoke "Goodnight Leo" I said softly as I walked up to him and pecked his forehead softly, before walking up to my room and away from the blushing turtle. Once I was upstairs I opened my bedroom door and then closed it behind me. I then walked over to my closet and grabbed a dark blue nightgown that kind of reminded me of Leo's mask. I then quickly took off everything except for my panties and then I slipped on my nightgown. I then turned my light off and walked over to my bed and laid down, making sure to put one of the blankets on top of myself. Just moments later I gladly fell into a deep sleep with the thought of Leo's blushing face in mind.
