Chapter 2

Chapter 2 - Ready For Anything

It was a Sunday, and Luke had arrived.

"Wake up champ!"

"Eh?...umm yeah hold on..oh Uncle Lucas!"

Jamie jumped out of the bed and hugged his uncle.

"Haha, look at yourself , wow, all grown up!"

"And you still look the same!"

"Well yeah it hasn't been that long, it seems like it was only yesterday that you were born...good times"

"Yeah i can tell"

"The Ravens' first game is coming up and you have to join the team,they are short of a player, i'll talk to the coach"

"You sure?"

"Hell yeah i am Jamie, i've seen you play last year and you were terrific kiddo"

"Well ummm....I'm up for it"

Lucas smiled and said "Then let's go talk to the coach"

And so they reached Tree Hill High

"Wow this place looks a lot different now from what i remember!" Said Luke

"Time can change anything!" Said Jamie

And so they went inside to talk to the coach

" Hey I'm Lucas Scott and this is my nephew Jamie Scott"

"Yes i know, you were in Coach Durham's squad right?"

"Yep, well hey listen i heard you need a point guard for your first game, well i think Jamie is the one for you"

"Well i have seen him play at the river court but how do i know if he's the one?"

"Give him a chance and you'll know why"

"Well there's still one week left, but for now you can go inside the court and see how it feels, start training from tomorrow, with the team"

"You got it coach"

And then Luke and Jamie left and went back home

"I got great news Dad,i got a shot at the first Ravens' game!"

Nathan smiled and hugged Jamie

"I can imagine you winning the game for the Ravens!" said Haley

"Thanks a bunch mom!"

Jamie hugged Haley

"You did it Jamie Boy!"

said Peyton with a smile

"Thanks aunt Peyton, but where's Sawyer?"

"She's taking a nap, will tell her when she wakes up!"

"Kay, tell her i said hi!"

"Sure thing"

And so Jamie left the house and went to the River Court to tell his friends about the big opportunity. All the Hardship was about to start from the next day for now he was officially a Raven.....
